Here, let me explain. For a little while (impossible to say how long), Chun li has known Charlie. They became very very close, friend-wise, and if it weren't for their jobs and constant moving, they probably would have ended up together. In fact, for a few years during her job, Chun li ended up pretending to be the lover of Charlie. She probably really fancied him; and he was the only one she could/would ever marry in the series.
Sorry to Ryu/Chun li fans, but it'll never happen between the two of them. Chun li, because of Charlies death, is probably going to lead a loverless life, raising an orphanage of children and training them to be good guys.

That is why I feel especially sorry for Chun li there. She probably really did love Charlie; and Charlie probably felt mutual too.

Roll is right (partially).

Sagat and Sakura encounter a psycho-drive possessed Ryu, and bring him to his senses. Ryu does a Shin Shoryuken to Bison, and he retreats to his base.

Chun Li is planting bombs around the base while Charlie is rescuing Jun, Juli, Cammy, et al who are possessed by the psycho drive. Bison finds Charlie and they fight. Charlie keeps Bison in the base until it blows up. Charlie is killed, and Bison's body is damaged beyond repair.

Just then, Rose shows up to kill Bison. After all, Rose is Bison's good side that he purged from himself years before to make his psycho drive more effective on himself. Bison sees her, and invades her mind, taking her over and abandoning his own body.

Shadaloo scientists create a ####ody for him, and he abandons Rose's body. Rose is gone, because the two halves have permanently rejoined. That's the story in SFA3 to just before SF2.

Dan, just answer me this...

where exactly have you taken that story from ?
i mean, i have SFA3 and i don't remember any of this hapenning in any Endings !

i do remember a few parts of it here and there, but not exactly as you said it hapenned !

i remember seeing...
- CAMMY going in the base while chunli was coming out ! (cammy's ending)
- Chunli coming out of the base after planting the bombs ! (chunli's ending)
- Charlie bombing the base from outside and going as what blanka09 (charlie's ending)

see, reguardless of how you take it, all SFA characters are alive after the story and all story can go into another !
so i wonder ehere you take all these *INFORMATION* if they do not appear in the games themselves !

Some people did a supreme amount of Street Fighter research and came up with a humongous FAQ detailing every character's TRUE story that has continuity (e.g. we all know that Dan Hibiki doesn't beat M. Bison in SFA2, but you can make that happen in the game). I don't know where that FAQ is right nowbecause Selvin (remember him?) gave it to me three years ago, and I no longer have it on my PC.

Anyways, while Capcom doesn't like to type it all out themselves what really happens in each game, they did look through the FAQ and confirm it as the true 'canon' storyline.

I'll look around for the document.

Edit: wow. So, so fast... and so, so, so much bigger than last time! DARN IT'S HUGE! Seems my memory was fuzzy on some things... I seem to be somewhat wrong... but Charlie IS dead. Here's the excerpt from that part of the FAQ.

"Street Fighter Alpha 3: Charlie is a First Lieutenant of the American Air Force. His inquiries of drug activity all pointed back to "Shadaloo". He gathered his comrades to form a strike team. His objective: ...end corruption in the army, and punish the man responsible! Charlie teamed up with Interpol officer Chun-Li to go after Shadaloo. Because it was against orders (The army itself being too corrupted to do it), Guile was sent to go after him, but ran into him right when he had found Bison! It was then that Guile realized what was going on and joined up with Charlie to fight Bison and force him to retreat. After that, Guile, Charlie, and Chun-Li to take down Bison once and for all. The three managed to meet up at and infiltrate Shadaloo's headquarters. Chun-Li prepares to plant explosives around the base, while Charlie and Guile head right for the source of Bison's immortality and power, the Psycho Drive. [Conjecture based off in-game storylines]. However, when they went there to plant the explosives, Bison was waiting! Bison was about to kill Guile with a psycho crusher, but then Charlie grabbed Bison out of it! Charlie finally ended up sacrificing himself to hold off Bison while Guile blew up the Psycho Drive that made Bison invincible, and Charlie and Bison were both in the room when it, along with Shadaloo's entire headquarters, exploded [Official].

Where Is He Now: Dead. Capcom officially stated so, too, even if his death was never directly seen. Course, Capcom might decide to change this in the future."

What is confirmed by Capcom is noted as such. What is not confirmed is noted as such. What is Capcom of America, who screwed up so much of Street Fighter, is noted as such, and almost categorally debunked because of it.

So, basically, just read each thing carefully, and it should say if it is 100% true, 100% false, or possibly true, or conjectured through evidence.
