I do Isshinryu Karate. It originated from the island of Okinawa(island off the coast of south japan). It is based on quick ,effective techniques, and styled stances.
Along with Isshinryu karate comes katas. Katas are basically moves and techniques that when put together can help u fight numbers of people (in different directions) and other things. There are also weapon katas. There is Bo(staffs),Sai(3 pronged sword/dagger), and other weapons.
Kumite is basically sparing. not much to say on it , just that u usually fight ur rank(or close to it) , size, gender, age.
Currently i'm a green belt in Isshinryu(from lowest to greatest it is, white, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, brown belt(3 years of it) , then black belt(then when u become 9th degree black belt your a red belt(which is like a once in a live time event, few people are red belt) due to how hard it is to get.
I also know some judo, and some Nin Jitsu
