How is "RAI-You" any easier than "REE-You"?

ok....wen you see da word "ryu" and you never seen it before how wuld you say it?/? so da word r-a-y-u caught on america
and why wuld americans say reyu wen dey see ryu on stuff....

I pronouce it rye-you (rye like the bread)
And i think rai-you is closer then ree-you.
cuz when you say ree-you it looks like you are saying
reu (prononce re as if you would say re: again and u as in you)
