I would agree with all this if we were paying to play this game. But that's just the thing. We're not. Ok, Someone takes time out of his life to make a game for us, and doesn't ask anything in return. And we all don't have fiber optics yet, so lag will always be there. Also, it takes a month for a new character to come out, and considering how much coding is involved, (and i asume that TMy is the only one actually coding this game) I think we're #### lucky to get characters at this pace. High scores are cool and all, but they're not that important. Not as important as playing the actual game and having fun. Which is what this is supposed to be all about. Now i'm not trying to fight, cuz most of you are all cool with me, but instead of worrying about the bad things about this game, mayber we should apreciate the fact that 1. We have the game period. and B. It gets updated very regularly with our (the players) suggestions and comments taking into consideration.

I guess alls i'm trying to say is apreciate this game as if it won't be here tomorrow.

the ####?

you realize how FUCKED that sounds? jesus, zing, he ISNT bitching.

"GIVE ME THIS BLA MOTHER FUCKING BLA" is bitching, formalizing a group of people to help make a request become more noticed IS NOT bitching. you wanna do your job as a mod? warn those who actualy bitch, not people who want something done, and decide requesting it in a GROUP is better than several pleas from single people. i realize selvin said demand, and that was really stupid of him, but if my instincts are right he doesnt actualy mean that....ugh.

Reasons why mods (and tmyapp) should not have to put up with petitions:

1) Bitching: As tmy has clearly pointed out, petitions are and will be used as a form of bitching. People could and will bitch about anything they want (a group of ryu lovers might make a petition to get rid of wolverine for example).

2) Newbies: Real hardcore newbies might get the idea that petitions are okay and start making them for some real dumb ideas (a petition to add every character ever thought of in the entire streetfighter series for example).

3) Demands: If non-mods start getting the feeling that they have more than the power of suggestion they have too be 2pid. Think about it, you cannot "demand" anything at all in the game. This is tmy's free time and not his job, you are not his customers.

4) Rivalry: Simply put, speaking out against a popular petition (what I'm doing :biggrin can, and undoubtedly will turn people in the game against each other.

5) Time: The mods have enough to do without dealing with petitions. I'm sure every mod as well as tmy has a life which is not focused around an online game. Petitions ALWAYS require more work for the mods just by reading it.

I don't know if the mods and tmy hold all of these concerns, but you (for all non-mods) should consider these concerns before you go around making a petition for ANY reason.

and you should put more thought into your posts...

1) they are NOT used as a form of bitching. if someone went over the line and made it that, warnings should be given. you might want to think a little about that one.

2)it SHOULD be ok to make them! individual people can suggest things, but groups cannot? thats so god #### hypocritical i wont even go into detail, because anyone with half a fucking mind will realize what a petition is.

3)no, you cant, but a petition is a group of people all urning for a collection of ideas to be implemented and thought about. single people can do it, but groups cant. again, hypocritical.

4)rivalry is good. its a healthy form of competition, and if it gets out of hand, it can be delt with. people collect things, and challenge each other all the time, and if thats taken to the extreme, then so are punishments. simple soloution.

5)agreed, there busy, but i suppose tm has enough time to think about, and read 20 or so INDIVIDUAL posts about the same thing, eh? petitions help, here, and everywhere else. they arent causing damage, or causing any detrimental effects to this board. NONE. this post isnt bitching, nor is the petition.

if they share your opinions, they also need to rethink thing.

done and done.

token for all the brains you supposedly have, maybe you shouldn't try and defend idiocy.

how many times has selvin posted THE SAME crap before?

if Tmy has ALREADY answered him, why cant he take a #### hint?

same goes for all of you...how many times do you have to say "the scoring system sucks", before you understand that ONCE is enough..

thats why this post is all about bitching...because you've asked this, and had it answered before...do you think because 10 of you got together it now makes it ok to bring up the same thing again?

the answer is NO...one topic for one complaint...its the rules...

do we understand each other now?

Quass you may continue....
(this is coming from someone with ACTUAL computer skills, so enjoy)

no, zing, were FAR from an understanding. how can you defend what you just said? yes, they make multiple posts, which im against, but im arguing for petitions being allowed, as long as it isnt a demand like in this post. bitching not being allowed, sure, but youll NEVER, and shouldnt abolish peoples right to argue over some things, as long as it doesnt get out of hand.

and who said anything about these alleged brains? i certainly didnt.

ahem...

a few questions to start of this rebuttal...

IS THIS a democracy?
Do you (the person reading this post, with the views of selvin) know how to code shockwave?
Did you have the vision to create, and then the drive to follow through with this project?

if you answered no to ANY of the above questions.. then, what do you think the conclusion to your thoughts about this post should be?

hmmm... I dunno.. I think I have an idea, stop the bitching and complaining, or I'm sorry.. petitioning as you like to call it..

Tmy is a busy person, most of you probabaly being 14-18 years of age, males, and highschool students haven't the faintest idea of what an adult life entails, what with maintaining a productive career, and having time to do the things in which you enjoy.
Tmy seems to enjoy providing YOU (again the reader) with the privilage of playing this game that again.. HE is creating..
are you starting to understand what I'm hinting at?
HE is making the game, HE is coding it.. and it being HE means that it is ONLY him, as in one person.

Do you understand how much work goes into this?
Can you even Fathom? and now you come up with an idea that HE is not producing enough to keep you happy?
hmm.. something is wrong with that picture in my mind.

I hope you will please look at this and realise what he is doing, and stop acting like little children going along with they're mothers in a store.. "mommy I want this!"

and with that I'm done..

bitching and complaining? must i explain this AGAIN?!

jesus, you people dont listen. selvin made a horrible mistake wich spun this slew of requests (ie: petition; one where we want something sone so we say it collectivley as opposed to many, many individual pleas) into a downward spiral, resulting in the arguments before us. he could have made it much better, but didnt. this is what im defending, because the petitioning im in favor of does not involve demanding at all. its just a collective bunch requesting the same thing, and doing it in an organized way. i cant say the same for selvin's petition, but he had his heart in the right place.

you see, while your all talking about bitching, you have no fucking clue as to what i mean, so your rebuttles and fruitless attempts to refrute my arguments are pointless. you want bitching stopped? so be it, but you cant make a group of people post MANY times, so they each have a thing to say.

what fo you think a union is? they are trying to help the populous by requesting certain things, and being in a group does wonders. can you say thats wrong? i beg you to try. you see, the reason i speak with such malice IS NOT because i am in favor of repetitive posts, and such, but because that seems to be the only god #### way to get a simple responce.

blech, again.
