Well, i've tried out all three hypers, and it's actually Crawler assault that does the most damage.

For maximum spider, it's really not that difficult to stop.

First of all, when you tag in their partner and they come in feet first, that "tag in" kick neutralizes maximum spider.

2nd, before spiderman goes at you, he rolls horizontally to the "wall." When you see this, just get on the ground, and call out a helper. Spiderman will automatically aim for you, and if you have called your helper out already, the helper may hit spidey before spidey even hits you.

For maximum spider, the best helper could be Dr. Doom. Since spidey goes right up to you, Dr. Doom surrounds your characer in those rock things. As soon as spiderman gets close enough, he's getting a face full of those rock things, and that's the end of the hyper.

Concerning Web sting - It isn't a wall to wall beam like you may think. Like, if you and your opponent have their backs right against the walls, and you/they perform web sting, it will not hit at all. You have to get somewhat close. Also, I guess it classifies as a beam, because when wolverine blocks it, he will not recieve damage.

i've played as spiderman plenty of times and i for noe, think he is just fine:

1. DUH he's fast! did you see the movie or any of his cartoons? he's supposed to be fast he's a super hero with super speed and stuff.
2. his maximun spider is ver hard to connect! he flys all over over the place!
3. yes, his moves are strong, but they are hard to connect. it all balances out. you prob just say that cause all the experienced players can connect the moves quite well.
4.his web hyper move isn't that hard to avoid. he has to get on top of you first, so just move out of the way. it all depends on the speed.
5. Spiderman is cool and shoud be left the way he is.

yep... u'r all right... Spider-Man is quite a character... he is the ONLY one with a "auto-aim" hyper... his Web String is almost perfect (prob his best move .. since u can stay up in the air where no one can touch you ) ... and best of all... he's got Spider Sense (now THAT you can't beat )

... let me ask u this though... does anyone remmemba' the 1st release of Wolverine ?? ... before his BBX hyper took 50% of u'r health ... Logan's regular BBX move held you in the corner, and there was NO way to stop it... he cut through Ryu like there was no tommorow...

then there is Sentinel... his "Sentinel Force" took off 100% of u'r health IF it cought you in the air...

and... lets not forget Cyclops... anyone still remmemba' his killer "Optic Sweap" ??

... point being almost all of the chars (not sure about Chun-Li) were over-power for one reason or another in their FIRST release ... and thats exactly what we have now.. the very first release of Spider-Man ...

i say.. enjoy it while u can... because he will be changed in the next week or two.. and the "killer moves" u speak of will be all but gone :biggrin:

I have an idea that could probably help against spiderman (even though I use him myself).

Now, against spiderman, I'd say Dr.Doom is the best, if it weren't for the fact that he only has 3 summons, but spiderman will obviously do more than 3 Maxspiders.

I was thinking Tmyapp could put in a helper that provided a similar effect to Dr.Dooms "shield", however, it would be much weaker. But that would allow it to have more charges, but the main point of the helper is just to break spidermans hyper.

Compare these two helpers - The Hulk and Blanka. They both basically do the same thing, that being go horizontally through the screen. However, The Hulk covers more area, and does more damage, but has less summons and not as fast as his smaller counterpart.

If Tmyapp made a "Blanka" (a weaker, toned down version, but with more summons) of Dr.Doom, it would help alot against spiderman, but would still be an effective helper nonetheless.

How bout making maximum spiders block damage a minimum possible. It's easy to block, so then only if you get connected into it (which you normally wouldn't), then you get that damage.

all i asking is for max spider and web sting to be toned down cause it does the most damage.

and the spider kick is fast.......................how come drill claw aint that fast?
