nah... that's just one of the "peculiars". Playstation has a wider variety of games. When it comes down to it, it's all about SONY :biggrin:

I'd put XBox on my list cause of it's magnificient capabilities... however, it's known to provide you with some unreasonable problems.

I'd also prefer the PS2 gamepad any day and anytime over that of the Xbox

And what's so original about the gamecube?? Sure some PS2 games are childish... but that's what's great about it. It has a wider variety... and it also has original games. Since I'm not a big fan of the Gamecube, do they even play DVDs or normal Audio CDs ?? :biggrin: ... oh wait, they can't play DVDs.. XD

And need I remind you of PS2's online gameplay capabilities ?? *sigh* .. the Playstation 2 owns

So the Gamecube dosent play dvds or cds.. So what? That isnt everything...You could easily buy a dvd player since its so cheap these days...blah The only real reason why the Ps2 is better than GameCube is because It can go online...Some Gamecube games can go online too..but hey Theres alotta games I can name for Ps2 that are..crappy...

PS2 games are childish and Gamecube games aren't? Even the start up for gamecube seems childish. The problme with Nintendo has always been that it doesn't have strong third party support as it relies on its first party titles, which of mostly all are kiddy. The PS2 offers a wide variety of games, wheras the Gamecube mostly dlivers games for a younger audience.

Thanks alamgir... AnimeGirl4evr... when it comes to childish games, Nintendo is the number 1 culprit. Most of their "code of conduct" for creating games goes like 75% to the little "growing" children.

The playstation 2 has a wider variety of games for adult entertainment. I mean, just look at Soul Calibur... LINK FOR THE GAMECUBE... *sigh* Can you compare him to Necrid or Spawn for the XBOX and Heihachi for the Playstation 2.

When it comes down to gameplay for ppl our ages (15 - 22) then it's all about the playstation 2. And the whole online gaming thing really DOES count and it gives the playstation 2 an edge over every other game :biggrin:

PREACH!!!!! :stupid: the spider speaks the truth.... even tho i already have a gamecube...which i do not nor ever will regret.....the ps2 is the ultimate when it comes straight to gaming.. but tell the truth..if you have the Adventure gaming genes like myself ...then you should get a game cube......SuperSmash bros melee, Resident Evil 4...Metroid Prime Echoes.... the list goes on and on baby! but to tell the truth....i am going to get a PS2 sooner than anybody will ever guess... if only they could get some more shipments!!.... and SOON!

look obviously sony would have a wider variety of games considering how long its been making games,
and i'm not talking about the ps2 i mean ps1 the old school version (the rectangle one) :biggrin:

thats been around as long as the sega mega drive, then nintendo came out with a new rival for the ps1, N64 that started the ''competition'' sony make more games and more games and more games, whilst nintendo try to make classic games that are worth buying and playing, now since the ps2 had been released sony were obviously owning the gaming market, the backward compatibility for the ps2 gave it that extra edge,nintendo try to seize the hand held gaming market missing out on big

Just as you put blindly, SONY has been making games long before the XBox came out. As far as I'm concerned, they're deeply rooted in the gaming industry well enough to provide games that a larger variety ofusers would love to play than any other gaming system.

You can't go wrong with the japanese dammit :biggrin:

Anyway, I would agree on the point of the XBox being a bit better when it comes to graphics and the Xbox's system capabilities. Heck, I know of the X-Factor that acts like a HD for storing games... but if I actually wanted something like that, I'd just turn my 2.80 512 P4 into a gaming machine. Update the video drivers, and double or perhaps quadruple the system memory and I'll have what the XBox thinks it's giving me... save a few Torrent files here and there.

With the Playstation 2, you get what you need and desire. Sure it's not the perfect system and even though some of their games suck, the ONLY game that the Xbox has that stands out is Halo... After that, everything just goes along with the wind.

You only hear about the system... you hear nothing of its games.

I wouldn't call what XBox did by bringing online gaming a revolutionary move, since their system now sucks compared to what the playstation 2 would give you. It's kinda like comparing Bram's Client to the one that lets you have control ofur upload speed. I mean, the playstation 2 gives this to you for free .. and you have to pay for that with the Xbox... now in my opinion, the PS2 revolutionalized "online console gaming" ... if the microsoft allowed the SONY to come up with online gaming before them then they should have been ashamed; since they produce computer related products... that basically... work online o_O (... if you get my drift)

Anyway, one man's meat is another man's poison... but I just don't see how you'll go wrong with a perfectly working PS2 when put in side by side with the Xbox.
