Well, I use norton and I set it to scan compressed files (zip files) and hidden files...I don't know who told you you have to reformat your whole computer...but that's a lie. I had a virus on my computer like 2 times and it tripled itself to other files and I just scanned my computer with the settings above and I was ok....I had to do it overnight...but that's better then reformatting...the only thing that sucks about norton is that you have to pay for telephone support...but you can get online support for free.

Sorry I took so long to answer...hope it helps.

ost_uid0="viper2040"]as a computer expert (not someone with an Uncle whos an expert), i can tell you thisAntivirus is good at preventing viruses. Once a virus gets in, antivirus may remove it, but the damage is already done. Spybot will NOT help, nor will removal of junk files. Best bet? find any cds that came with yer computer and see if one of em contains windows XP, and reinstall the whole damn operating system. If you need help, i MAY be able to mail a disk that can do it for you, but I'll need proof that you own a legit copy of windows.[/quote] at last the guy speak, go here in order to clean it http://housecall.trendmicro.com/hous...tart_corp.asp, i had that problem just 2 week ago >.c and now it's gone.
