Story telling rpg - From the darkness to the light

<span style='font-size:7pt;line-height:100%'>Maria Just woke up and noticed she could see a line of brown on the horizon. It was almost midday know and a night of sailing had made everyone tired.

Cuattle: Were almost there now, should be there soon, stay aleart, I'm catching a strange scent.
Maria: Like what?
Cuattle: I don't know, but It smells like death, and its not Drake.
Drake: Very Funny.

After an hour or so they found themselves pulling the raft onto the beach. They weren't too close to any village but a strange silence loomed in the air.

Maria: Well we have to get something to eat and drink, I think I see a road over that way.
*She points*

They slowly made their way to the road. They headed in one direction and came accross a small village. A pile of bones lay near the town sign, Happytun.

Drake: How...inviteing.
Maria: Something is not right here, it is late afternoon and no one is outside.
Cuattle: Let's see if we can't find anybody.

They moved throught the village only to find emtpy alleyways. They even tried some doors, but no luck was there either. Then they saw a shadow move near the well.

Maria: What was that.
Cuattle: Don't worry I saw it, it was just a dog.

*Maria walks near the well and sees a small beat up dog sitting on the opposite side of the well*

Maria: Oh.....what do you have there? A bone?

*The dog steps out into the sunlight with a visious growl, revealing a human arm in its mouth*

[OOC]Is it me, or is DANTE part of SOUL CALIBUR, ias it me or has milestails been acting as if he was in SONIC ADVENTURES ? so much questions unanswered ! :biggrin: [/OOC]

As the vortex was trying to pull WELF in, he tryed running to the door. but he soon fund out that there was no more door, only emptiness and that vortex. one other thing was there as well, it was the FEAR MASTER, coming for welf and bring him thru that rift !

WELF:"No chance of that big guy. i got a girl to save and i cannot make her wait any longer"

Welf simply jumped on the creature and started to scratch and byte all he could. the FEAR MASTER couldn't believe that such a frightened demon could fight as if it was all he had ever done in life ! Barely doing anything to the fear master it still took it time to get WELF outta him ! he had no choice and started to transform into something else. becoming bigger and bigger by the seconds, WELF had no choice but to let go as the creature grew to unspeakable proportions !

WELF:"What the hell... you're kidding right ?"

The creature which was the FEAR MASTER was now a giant unimaginable creature, it was unexplainable, it looked like a mix of many many creatures and monsters ! WELF was horrified by the view of this, it had tentacles the size of a giant tree and had a mouth so big that it could swallow a whole building in one shot ! not even thiking of the size of the teeths in there, all that WELF had in mind was to run away. but seriously, where would he run to ? the door surely was still there, it was obvious that it was only an illusion, but even welf couldn't break thru it !

WELF:"This island, now i figured it out, illusions becomes real around here, so in order to break thru, we gotta defeat the thing that makes these illusions !"

The big creature was now going forward toward welf and trying to swallow him ! welf ran in the opposite direction trying to get away from the creatures grasp ! but the tentacles just came in front of him blocking the way and the creature started to suck in everything in front of it. WELF included, it didn't took long for the demon to get off the ground, don't know what or who helped WELF, but he heard of voice in his head.

?:{The Bigger they are, The smaller they get. use your potions to win ! }

Surely welf didn't knew who the hell was that, but it sure wasn't the FEAR MASTER. what the hell was that voice saying. that one of his potions would work on this guy ? WELF floated at high speed toward the giant creature, as he turned around he just reached his bag, took out one of the potions out of there and threw it in... then he threw a second vial, that one exploded on contact with creature closing in the giant mouth. WELF fell on the floor and looked at the now shrinking creature... tho it wasn't as fast as he was thinking it would... but at Least he survived !

FEAR MASTER:"Do you think this explosion was enough, you only gained time and for what, being swipe by my tentacles !"
WELF:"Didn't you notice howbig your swirling vortex started to grow ?"
FEAR MASTER:"What ?"
*The creatures big eyes turned to see the vortex growing*
FEAR MASTER:"That's impossible, how can this be !"
WELF:"Oh sorry forgot to tell you... with a big mouth we surely not always see what's going into it !"
FEAR MASTER:"You too is growing... wait no... i am SHRINKING !"
WELF:"Exactly, do you know what that means, the smaller you get, the lower is your sens of keeping your feet ont he ground, the faster you'll get sucked in by your own rift !"

FEAR MASTER:"that can't be !"
*The creature wsa snow really small and was floating toward the rift as fast as saying 1 2 3*
FEAR MASTER:"ITS NOT OVER YET, I'LL BE BACK FOR YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!"

The rift absordbed the FEAR MASTER and with him the illusion disappeared slowly and the door reappeared ! Welf got to it turned the door knob and left the room !

WELF:"Now that was hard, i Thought i would never get out of there alive, That Women was sure right about this mansion, it sure is full of surprises ! but i wonder who that voice was and why it helped me ?"

Puzzled by that question Welf continued to inspect the doorsa, but now, he tryed reading and understanding what was writen on the doors themselves ! the ones that ad no warning he looked at it carrefully, placed his ears onto them trying to know what was behind and at the very last resort openning the door to see inside, just a peek tho. he made all the doors, now he wasn't coming inside if there was no real thing for him to see...

but in Another room, he peeked in... he couldn't help it and entered it, to see what those pictures were about... strangely enough, they were part of his past...

[ooc] At first I was going to make the person Dante another excat copy of himself same outfit face and weapon like a twin. To attack dante or have his shadow attack him. But many RPG have done that move before. like Onimusha,Zelda Ocraina of time, Kingdom hearts, even pokemon gold/sliver. So I just thew in Nightmare for a lil spice to it he may not even show up in the rest of that story but I give permission to u all, that u can control Nightmare or bring him back in if youwish to. [/ooc]

I know I wanted it to be a brown furry animal(heh)
The multiple tails thing..partly from tails in sonic(hahha miles)
The sharp bone tails thing from Animorphs(I read those a lot when I was younger)
I was thinking of Jean gray at the time of having telekinetic and telepathic powers
The no eyes thing partly from the third matrix where neo gets blinded and he completely sees throught the matrix...just like Cuattle can see through phycic waves.....Of course he has eyes now:P

[ooc] Alright, I think that's enough talking about character origins. ^-^; Let's begin working on the story a little bit more. After all the complaints, I'd have expected all of you to be bursting with posts. [/ooc]

Birds were singing softly in the lovely green trees, as the shining afternoon sunlight streamed all along the park. Children were running around a little farther off, and many adults were strolling around the god-tree that covered the entire park. Flower seeds were just starting to be sewn into the ground, and the grass was just starting to regrow. The snow had melted away earlier, and left apparant traces of existence all over the place. Yet beside all of these, the most peculiar sight there was that of two children walking around the tree like the adults were. They did not seem to be perturbed by any of the hurtful glares that any passerby gave them, and if they were pestered to 'run along', they would stick out their toungues in unism or tell them to make them. No other responses were made soon after an hour had passed, because one of the children had a red skin color, and a "really big nose".

Angela continued to walk silently next to Welf as he spoke about how his parents were human and demon. He gave plenty of details about both parents to make them particularly attractive to any eavesdropper, yet he kept exaggerating some of the details a little bit. It was only natural, as Angela had known for a while, to see someone else praise their parents so much. However, Angela had one question that she was dying to ask. After Welf had said that his mother made a horrific supper the night before, Angela popped in the question.
"Welf, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Do you like your mother?"
Welf looked at her wildly for a moment and exclaimed: "Of course I do!". It was about another moment during which Welf continued his wild look before Angela spoke again.
Angela: "I like my mother too." Another pause ensued this statement before being broken once more.
Welf: "...Why did you ask me that?"
Another pause.
Angela: "My mother... is gone."

Welf stopped walking in his surprise on hearing those very words come from Angela's mouth. The level of bewilderment from him begin to rise very fast, and he was starting to feel very warm now as well. Angela stopped just a few steps ahead of him, aware that he had stopped a moment ago.
Angela: "She left... leaving just me."
Welf didn't know what to say, and only uttered "Angela..". However, Angela spoke up.
"That's all."
And then she turned around, looking like she was trying really hard to hold back any tears she may have hidden behind those emerald eyes. Welf couldn't help but want to stop her, and the feeling was very large for some reason. He walked up to her a bit hastily, and spoke his mind.
Welf: "Please don't cry.... I mean, Angela... You look better when you're smiling than when you're crying."
He was blushing now, and it was showing. Angela could only help but smile once more, just because of him. But when a single ray of golden sunshine hit her face, she knew she had to go home once more.
Angela: "Welf, I need to get to my home now."
Welf nodded. "Well, alright. But do you want to meet again sometime?"
Angela nodded.
"Then you do want to meet over there by that bench tomorrow?"
Angela: "Sure! because it's fun when I'm with Welf, because I remember memories from back when it was fun."
Welf: " 'Yubikiri' then."
Angela consented to the pinky promise, and they both held their pinkies together once more. Suddenly, the sunlight shined brighter than it had ever done, and Welf's image of Angela and himself melted into the light. Then, before he knew it, he was back in the mansion once more. He could rememer that day by himself now so very well. But he began to wonder: Why was it that he could not remember this before? Was there something that he was made to forget? If it was so important as this, he should not have forgotten it, and he knew that. Unfortunately, he didn't spend too much time with the thought, as he wanted to leave the room and head to another room that he thought was safe. The hallways, he noticed, weren't as dark as they were just a moment ago. Strangely enough, they were beginning to look less battered and destroyed. Welf, however, didn't notice and ran down the hallway again, searching for a door that felt safe.

Asa was now sitting on the bed, staring into the center of the room. She looked at on of the trees nearby, and a gentle breeze flewby in an effort to create the lovely scenery into a live place. However, only the feeling of being lost was in the room, and Asa couldn't feel very much life coming from Angela anymore. She was still alive, to Asa's senses, but she wasn't doing as much as she was before. Yet there was another strange feeling that was coming from Angela's limp and lifeless body: There was a deep warmth that was starting to grow more and more. Asa hoped that Welf could remember only faster, though, since he had little time left.

[OOC]Ok this side quest will have to be finished sooner or later cause otherwise LED will thinks he's been left over ![/OOC]

It became too much for welf to ignore. he started to think it thru and thought that it was useless to go on like this without a real lead ! Tho this mantion was bigger then he thought, it was obvious that this mention was meant to toy with one's mind ! The real question was... WHY such a place ?

WELF:"That Women, she knew too much, why wouldn't she be part of this as well ? Think i'll get her to tell me the truth !"

Welf left the room he was in, got into the corridor and came back to the stairs he climbed in the first place. He got down and as he was back to the main hall he noticed that none of the others had returned yet. Only thing to do was to find them as soon as he could !

WELF:"Well, DANTE's sent is at bay, i can almost hear him as well... but where's that fox ? i can't even smell him !"
*Puts Nose up and smell*
WELF:"Neither can i find that women, what the hell is going on here ? oh well let's get dante first since he is near."

Welf took a long last look at the way he remembered ASA taking. It looked like just another corridor tho, yet something wasn't right about all this, and now that welfunderstood the main purpose of this mansion and island. he was all the more skeptic as to know that this women was just there without a reason, but that reason was simply out of his reach. He smelled a last time for dante and walked his way thru the corridor DANTE had taken, hoping that his nose wouldn't betray him.

WELF:"First we gather, then we find all together. this way, no more toying around with us. that WOMEN sure is too mysterious for her not to know what is going on around here. just hope the others have figured as much as me !"

Thus WELF started to llook for the others, yet TIKALIS was no where to be smelled !

The Soldier's sudden appearance had surprised Tikalis, but that wasn't it.... By the time he took out his Arc Edge to start fighting..... A large vortex of some type had covered them... Tikalis guessed it was probably a kind of battlefield, but he really wasn't unsure... The soldier and Tikalis stared at each other for a few minutes, while the viper is slithering, waiting for it's time to attack, and held a very deep grudge. Then, finally, the soldier said something...

Soldier: *evil grin* "I guess since this will be your last day of living, I'll give you my name." *buffs out chest and raises a familiar sword* "My name is Lojack. If you do somehow live like last time, my viper here will finish you off for me! muahahahaha!....."
Tikalis: "Uh-huh, sure.... Let's just see, though..."
Ball of light: "The soldier is now capable of flinging fireballs at you, so when he fires, immediately turn around and run the other direction!"
Tikalis: "Ok, got it." *holds Arc Edge in defensive position...*
Soldier: "Meet your doom...." *lunges forward with his viper...*

[How long the fight took, Tikalis never counted, as he was hopping around most of the fight from the soldier's fireballs, just as the ball predicted. He was almost everytime getting hit, but barely got. He knew he had to do this quick, he was wasting time with someone he already dealt with! But he had no choice, as the strange vortex seemed to show no exit.... His clan's instincts gave him noteing on a simple energy.... It showed signs of becoming stronger... But Tikalis never had time to think about this... He continued on with the fight...
............. He made one final swing and hit the soldier on the side of his armor... He held it for a minute and left his sword wide open. Tikalis recognized right there.]

Tikalis: ":shocked: Dante's Soul Reaver!?"
Soldier: *turns his gaze from his side to Tikalis.* "What?.. Oh, this, huh! I stole it from some fool who came across the Armor Hall just earlier before I got here... He was such an easy target..."
Tikalis: "What have you done with Dante?"
Soldier: "We're feeding him to our exterminator, that's what we did to him! He should be in the cell in the dungeon.... Oy.. Just slipped out..."
Tikalis: {The dungeon. After this is over, it's the dungeon first. No time to lose!}
The ball of light came out again...
Ball: "Hey! Look this way! I have a clue here! You have what it takes to quickly finish your task at hand!"
Tikalis: "What? ..." {Quickly finish?.... Oh, right!} *throws his pack as far away as he could.*
Soldier: "haha, what are you gonna do now?"
Tikalis: "You'll see. " *ran to his pack... and took out the pair of shoes he recieved...! he puts on the shoes.*
"Hard to believe when you can't see me, huh?" *disappears in a flash.*
Soldier: "What's goin-- Argh!?!?!?" *falls to the ground and shakes violently* "Im Im Impossible!? You...You didn't just do that!"
Tikalis: "Hmm, too late, I already did... Blazing...Arc.....Attack!!!" *jumps in the air dramatically, and slahes down the technique..."
Sizzling hot blades only severed the armor, but didn't hurt the soldier himself. Tikalis then disappeared in thin air.
Tikalis: "...wrong to ....steal.....must.....return lost item....." *grabs Soul Reaver from the unconsious soldier, who fell unconcious on purpose....*
[Surrounding Vortex dissapears and Tikalis is taken back to the chamber he was in before....]
Tikalis: "Well, that's all there is to...... !?!?!" *jumps back from a venom spit out!* "....Oh... Forgot about that thing..."
Viper: "Meet your doom, little fox...."
Tikalis: "Did it just speak?! This place is a lot weirder that I thought...."
Viper: "You never know unless you turn the other way...."
Tikalis: "What....in the world is that supposed to mean?...."
*viper goes into a total meltdown, and his two red eyes are floating among the viper's leftovers....*
??: "I guess he gave up on what he thought was true....Tikalis..."
*Tikalis turns around and sees a female fox....His age?..*
??: "You look much different than what Mom and Dad thought you would...."
Tikalis: "What??"
??: "Oh, guess they didn't tell you, huh?... My name....Crystalis..."
Tikalis: !! "That was the name Yotoma said was my sister's but it can't.....
Crystalis: "Yeah, it's true.... I think they left you with whatever his name was, and went off without saying anything...."
Tikalis: "Anything else?... Why would they be wanting to leave me with someone else?"
Crystalis: "I don't have time to answer all of your questions.... I only have little time left..."
Tikalis: "Huh??"
Crystalis: "Just hurry up and return that sword to your friend already!"
Tikalis: "Oh, yeah, right!!" *runs off with lightning speed to where he thought the dungeons were...*
Crystalis: *slowly smiles* "Good Luck..." *instantly turns into air.*
