Here is a screenshot that I took of the old SFO a few mins ago when I just finished playing it. The old SFO to me lags less. Reason i say that is because my FPS on the new SFO is 21.0000 and my FPS on the old one is 26.0000 .

karma - I dont see why he cant apply the same changes of blocking,lag, to the old version. Incorporate all the new changes to the old version accept 4 player mode, jump lock, etc....

Metal it actaully doesnt lag at all...for me taht is cuz i play it sometimes its perfectly fine..

both nferno and karma are right...
the chat/connection/encryption protocols changed when the 128 bit encryption was added... as were the server names/addresses ... i have the old versions.. that is not a problem.. but if you were to load one of them up... two things would happen: 1: the version would not know any of the new chat server names/addresses ... and 2: even if the game knew where to connect... once there, it would not be able to authenticate/talk to the main/chat server. so, what i'd have to do is load up the code of the version 0.1a (or whatever it was)... and "convert" it to use the protocols and the encryption of SFO today... which is.. quite a bit of work... (about same amount as making a new character) thus, here we are :biggrin: |

Wow, so it is actually possible to do. I am not demanding it be done, I am just saying that it would be be a very good idea to implement it since the reason most people left the game was because of the increased lag and 4 player mode. It was said before that we would have it, and we didnt get it, so why not put off a character for once and give it a chance? Who knows, we might see Red Moon, pamalio, airlock, selvin, Megapower21, FahadSheikh, Koopsta, UnCooLkhMeR etc......

meh how about this for the next character vote you have characters and you have implementation of old school sfo with all the new characters
I mean it's the same work right so If that's what we want (a less lagging less glitchy game) then we'll just vote on it
