Ok now thats just Bull $hit alot of rapers rap about thier fellings their past and thier hate with other ppl. Alot of rapers dont talk about love most talk about how they are ballers with the bling bling and dem 20inch Rims. And I dont under stand $hit about rock they are just screaming about their issues to me. For example Chop suey I know the lyrics but dont understand, the title makes no sense. Rock stars just scream in the mike with no flow. Rap or hip hop what ever u want to call it has a flow and a beat u can relate to. that's bullsht

rock do NOT scream in the mic with no flow (that's heavy metal you are talking about), and rock also has beats. it just doesn't rely on those beats to get listeners. rock doesn't give direct meaning to it's listeners on what it is truly about. rock let's the listener think and piece together what the singer's message in a song. and seriously, rap does not use proper grammar or english (a bunch of ghetto talk). and it is damn true that rap talks about love, girls, relationships. everytime i tune into a rap music station like BET, i always see some guy having a fight with a girl and rappin about it, or some guy dancing with a sht load of girlz.

Here is my argument against rap:

Rap makes no sense. 99.9% of the time you can't even figure out what they're saying (Outkast's "bombs over bagdad" is an example). Also, Rappers are a dime a dozen; there are so many rappers out there, and for the most part they all sound the same. Hell, they do all their music digitally, they don't even use any REAL instruments. And lyrics? Forget lyrics. Every other word or phrase in rap songs is either "what up" or "word up" or "yeah" or "huh" or "wazz up my nigga".

Rock, on the other hand, is pure talent. They play REAL instruments, and make GOOD music with UNDERSTANDABLE lyrics and GOOD beats. Making rock music requires A LOT of talent. Making rap "noise" requires next to none

:laugh: LMAO princevegetam alot of rap video's have the fine girls dancing duh. Nantuko Joe Alot of rappers dont need instruments the talent is in the beat THEY MAKE UP, the talent is if any one just walks up and starts to bang the plam of their fist on a table they can start to flow to it (which is called freestyle). So many rappers have talent to rap about almost anything, we actullay sit in a recording studio and take a lil of this and that to crate a great beat. And thats how we come up with remixies, so rappers have the talent of creatin lyrics of the top of their head when they freestyle. and R&B can really sing *cough some cough* :biggrin: I see that some rockstars play a instrment themsevles, and its not like some rapers dont have their own band of INSTRUMENTS cause they do. to me rock is aight my fav thou is Linkinpark, not sure if it is rock but alot of my peeps dig some of the songs they made. First off, Linkin Park is'nt rock, it's rock/rap, it's got elements of both genres in there (kinda like "walk this way" with aerosmith and Run DMC)

Secondly, I can go around and bang my fist against a table and create a beat. I can run around and yell "sup my niggas" (i mean not to offend anyone racistly) and "rap" about my life and crap like that. It's not much talent involved. And the only real instrument that rappers use are drums. everything else is created on synthesizers and digitally. Rockers actually play their own instruments and get very little stuff digitally. That requires TALENT.

Just look at Andrew W.K. He is the only one in his "band". He plays the piano, drums, guitar, bass, and vocals, and combines them in the studio. Now THAT's talent. Not "yo yo what up yo"
