man, most of games turn into kind of movies sucked really bad.........they don,t stick to story of the game. They make a completely different story. Change the characters life.........

Take Street Fighter for example, Ryu is a street fighter and they make him a bandit or whatever, same with Ken...........anyway the only one that was good for me was like Karma said Mortal Kombat........ they followed the story quite well.........even if both movies didn't make much success....... :dontgetit:

oh and there's another flaw to games turn into kind of movies, they don't make a lot of success for some reason, only us game fanatics like watchin those moviesm which discourage people to make those kind of movies, which is sad really

Lol Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, that flopped in the box office big time. They should have stuck with the true FF series instead of branching off and making something different and then maybe they would have done better.

How does a movie based on HALO sound? Anyone think that would be a good movie to see?

yeah it was good, but the title should have been STARCRAFT !
not FF !

really, a friend of mine who is a very very big fan of FF told me it was good and true to the games which were all about LOVE ! which we had plenty in there !

but i answered... all about love huh !
first all 12 games have SWORDS and MAGIC !
how come the movie don't ?
second: techniology is a good thing (have been done in FF before) but they always had MAGIC and SWORDS.
third: did i mention that the FF games had MAGIC AND SWORDS ?

he answered that i didn't knew what i was talking about !

a true friend of mine is also a very big fan of the serie, and he was totally disappointed after seeing it !
he said the same as me, but he added that it was much more looking like STARCRAFT and STARSHIP TROOPERS then FF !
so yeah, the FF movie was a total faillure !

again... why has it happen... because the guy who made it didn't had the VISION the CREATORS (square) had !
and it only produced another sensless movie based off games !

know what...
an MGS game would be great and would definitely beat any other SPY MOVIE ! (*COUGH* xXx *COUGH*)

i think that tomb raider the movie was a great movie ..and it WAS a success in the box office..but how come all the other movies that were made after a game sucked?? i think its becoz of the women!! i may sound a bit sexist here but men really watched tomb raider coz angelina jolie is buff an she got nice a$$e$ts aswell lol :laugh:

its never depending on the game my friend... always about the script itself !

WINGS COMMANDER is an old game that showed the way to 3D SPACE SHOOTING game !
it was awsome.
but the movie sucked so hard...
it wasn't the game who was bad, it was the movie and the game was awsomely made and was very very played... but the author that made the script just didn't took the game in consideration and simply made his own story based on the GENERAL UNIVERSE in which the heroes were going in... that plus the fact that he he did a completely new story made the movie way too different then the games, so it became a big pile of #### !

same happens to other movies as well !
RESIDENT EVIL for an example had the very same problem !
between redoing the story of the games, they decided to make a completely new story... not a bad idea, but they took the main city and used everything that was GAME REALTED... what happens to a movie like that... it becomes a little off place ! it cannot be put in the story line of the games.

it was basically not a RESIDENT EVIL, but more of another ZOMBIE movie like many others !

i must admit tho, aside of the story who was poopting hard... the movie was greatly made !

Lets see they attempted a DBZ movie and the company that made it is now out of business for it and a Street Fighter movie which didn't get that great of reviews. As most have said it depends on the game.
