Newbie tournaments - Some kinda official announcement thingy - Page 2

what about the people that do try are you going to lock there up to becuase of some idiot (i didnt no you could have power to lock up the tournament) do you and mytampp own this site 2 gother or some thin.

But do me a favor and take the time to take a look at...

Right here at the front page of the tournament section. Then go back about 5 pages...

Notice that there's been somewhere around 20-30 tournaments started just in the months of October and September? And maybe 2 have even "finished".

Now I want you to Go here and skim over the topic titles from Aug. 2001 to Dec. 2002 Notice that there's less then 5 tournaments started in 5 months?

Now if you even take the time to open one or two of the threads, you'll notice the ones with the "large responses" (Ryu's Drunken Brawl and Tournament of Champions) were very WELL THOUGHT OUT, planned, and most importantly... avidly and efficiently run.

Now, out of all 30 or so tournaments that have been hosted since August 1, 2002.. there's been: 0 that have even come close to the kind of work/preparation that those did.

But in the case that someone actually does pull it off and put some actual effort into hosting a tournament.. I can, should... and probably will start locking tournament topics left and right that have .05 seconds of preparation and rules/tournament opperations that look like this:
