Tip on swirl - Page 2

first tutorial of someone else work. if you tried it please post it here and tell me what you think of it.

Ok, i made this bg a few days ago and i decided to right a tut on it, this is my first tut so here it goes...

1). Open a new document of any size, and set the background to whit, press D on your keyboard to reset the colors..

2)Now get your gradient tool. uncheck reverse etc.. on the top right hand corner..set the mode to difference and use either ..linear or reflective gradients(1st & 4th icons).

3) Go mad with the gradient tool click about 20

4) Go to Filter>>>Stylize>>>Find Edges. Now press CTRL+I to invert the picture.

5) Duplicate the layer.... then Edit>>Transform>>Flip Horizontal and set the blend mode to lighten...CTRL+E to merge the layers.

6)Duplicate the layer again...then edit>>>Transform>>Flip vertically then set blend mode to lighten. then CTRL+E to merge the layers.

7)Final step. duplicate the layer once more and set the top layer's blending mode to hard light...now if youwant to different colours like i did, set hue/sat on the bottom layer and then hue/sat on the top layer and voila, make sure they look good. though!
