Ok, here I am actually begging you TMyApp...... Please Please Please Please Please Please Please bring back Old School SFO. I know you put alot of time into this new pumped up version of the game, but this game just isnt the same as it used too. I am begging you TMyApp, please bring a Old School version of SFO. You have to have a .dcr file of the old SFO dont you? One without 4 player, one without jumplock,one with all that we remember of the good old days. Please TMyApp!!!!!!! Please release an Old School version like you had intended to awhile ago. So many people were looking forward to it and it was never released. Please TMyApp, please................

Dude tmyapp can not bring back the old SFO because of the stupid marve| people.Plus tmyapp made the game better by adding chars to it BETTER CHARS.So just be thankful for the new and inproved version.Every one els likes it and if you dont well then you can just not play the game at all.

You clearly arent a vet at all. Back after 4 player mode was released. When you would start to load the game there to be a "OldSchool version: TBA" when you would load the game.

kid-sfo - Yes having more characters is nice, for the most part. I dont mean get rid of all the new characters, I mean have a version of just 1 ON 1 . No tag at all. That is what was ment by old school. Why would that be so much better? Less to load and less lag. Plain and simple.

umm from my understanding the current servers wont work with "old school" which is why TMyApp decided to just not release it anymore.

Fear there is an actual old version of the game. I usually play it when I get bored of the new version of SFO. The link to the old version of the game is here

i think thats the oldest version i can find. 0.7e.

Only one server works there btw.The server that works is Project X server. You will have to try and get more people to play the older version though. Cause not alot of people play there. I just play there with a few old players from 01 and 02 when i ask them.

but if you feel like playing the older version ill play with u anytime.

I dont see how the new servers would affect the old version. This game connects to a server through the Multiusr xtra in Director. Someone has to setup the server by being the HOST. The HOST allows people to join the server. I dont see how the server has anything to do with affecting what version the game can be played. The servers just act as a way to have people send data back and forth.

metal ken- Wow, i actually never knew that thanks.

See there is still a old school version out there. Why not on the main page be able to pick the web version or the old school version. Have people connect to the same chatrooms, but only have people with the same version game(old school and current) be able to play each other. Just so that there can be a true old school version and have no TAG and NO JUMPLOCK. Like the good old days, you all remember the good old days of the TOC's. Dont act like you hate them or that now is better. That was a golden time for this game and it was taken away by jumplock, and 4 player mode.

I dont know if this would help any, but tmyapp are you using the Multiuser Server 3.0 as a host for the servers? Cause I have made a chatroom the same way as you, but I use the Multiuser Server 3.0 for a server. Just an idea.

I am not bitching or complaining or demanding anything. I would just like to have the option to play the game like we all did before. Old School style, no jumplock, no 4 player, pure sfo. I am not saying get rid of the current version, just have the option to play old school or the current. people could still join the same servers, but can olny challenge if the have the same version.

I just want to have a little taste of the good old days. The way things were when they were better.

I think they should just add the old version i posted below there on the frontpage of the site. Therefor when you click start you would have the option of playing old school or new school. Would make things alot more fun and MAY bring back old players who use to play the game.

as far as i remember fear, the servers cannot see the old users since the servers back then used a 64 bit encryption while this server uses 128 bit encryption and since both versions aren't compatible then it cannot be done, at least that's what tmyapp answered me back then !

but again he said he would setup an old server back then just for it to work !
don't know more !

BTW, Who really wants the old version back, i mean, lots more lag, less blocking cause of good old blocking bug which awefull back then, good old HADOUKEN all the time lots of air fighting since nobody could do other thing other then super jumps ! only ryu as a fighter, no helpers to help.

really tell me you aren't serious when you say that version was better ?
cause to be honest fighting in that version was next to impossible, i know i was there and i was finding the game even more boring then it is today ! so boring that i actually wandered off for a month or too back then before even start to play it again !

no seriously, that old game engine is just too stupid to be brought back !
