Seems like a great idea to have both.
That way we wont have as many tournaments and people can be updated on each tournament. When it will happens and also have like like a link to the thread of the Tourney on each date of the of the calender. That way people can also Sign up and keep updated. I think that calender idea will be a really good adition.
