My Favorites:

Marth: I'm gonna scream if I hear that Roy is stronger than Marth one more time. Here's the facts. Marth is a long-range fighter. His sweet spot (point of maximum damage and impact) is at the tip of his sword, making him the best at keepaway games and long-range damage. Marth's Shield Breaker, when max charged, will destroy any defense. In addition, some of Marth's attacks deal only one strong hit, while Roy's will deal multiple hits. Also, Marth's auto-counter DOWN+B lasts longer than Roy's. Marth is a strategic character, where you need to be smart to be good.

Roy: Roy is the same as Marth, except his sweet spot is in the middle of his sword, and some of his attacks have slightly different properties. SMASH UP will deal multiple hits and cause flames, as well as his UP+B special. Also, his FORWARD+B UP+B/B UP+B/B/DOWN+B DOWN+B (his four-move combo that ends in rapid low stabs) causes more hit stun and less movement (along with flames), resulting in generally more damage even at high damage percentages. Also, Roy's Shield Breaker-esque move (hold B) will automatically KO an opponent on a max-hold hit (so long as no objects are in the way). Finally, his auto-counter DOWN+B doesn't last as long as Marth's. In conclusion, Roy is an in-your-face character.

Young Link: Faster than Link, but lighter and easier to hit away than him. Young Link's boomerang also has greater control, but other than that and a few discrepencies between Link and Young Link's damages, they are essentially the same.

Ganon: Arguably one of the heaviest and definitely the slowest character, Ganon is a power house. His A attack is capable of impressive knockaway that a few character's SMASH FORWARDs can't match. He also has plenty of heavy-hitting attacks.

Well, there you have it. Give me a fighting game, and I'll give you a lecture telling you how to play it. Tell me a character, and I'll tell you how to play the character to win.
