Yes, Wolverine is cheap. Unfortunately, that's the only way he can survive.

Ryu can do corner traps. Wolverine needs to do corner traps, or he's dead. Anyone who can keep Wolvie at a distance has him by the short hairs. His healing factor doesn't help him much-- the animation goes on so long that he's easy prey for fireballs. And his super Berserker Barrage is no match for the super Hadoken, or even the incredible "jumping over him" tactic.

Wolverine is dead cheap, but a player who hopes to win with him can't do anything but be cheap. If his super jump were a bit longer, or if he had better hit priority, then things might be different. Until then, I'm playing Ryu exclusively.
