dan hibiki is the self trained saiyko master. he made the style by combining his training from gouken (ryu, ken, and akuma's master) with the muay thai he learned from his father. his father, Go, is the one who put that scar on sagat's face. sagat got pissed and killed Go because of it. to seek vengence he joined gouken's dojo and trained with ryu and akuma til gouken found out he just wanted vengence so he kicked him out. dan then created his own style, saiyko (japanese for the greastest). the only person he trained the style to was blanka ,whom he found in the jungle. i don't remember if he ever did train sakura but he wanted to. Dan later defeated sagat and won the tournement that year surprising everyone.

Dan is the original joke fighter invented by capcom to make fun of ryo and robert from snk's games, who were a ripoff of ryu and ken.

don't let anyone tell you dan is just another shoto, he is a completely different charector. his hadoken is the strongest in the games, even though it could only travel a few feet. his real strength relies on his ability to tuant in any position and use it as an easy way to dodge many supers. he is a great charector in the right hands...[/quote]
