Anti-lag strategy - Help against health lag

ok... people really have to understand the difference between LAG and FRAME PER SECOND problems !

LAG = the time it takes for the data sent by your computer to go to the other guys and then come back to your computer !

FPS = Your computer ability to show off lots of images each seconds !

many of you are probably experiencing FPS problems, cause if you don't play this game on a computer with a very good graphic card and a very big CPU then you're gonna experience lots of FPSissues which will end up with teleporting images (easily taken for lag), skipping animations (easily taken for lag again), and even sound skipping (which prooves its a very big FPS problem).

so none of the afford mentionned way to go can reduce LAG itself !

best way to reduce lag...
1 - play someone very close to your location ! the farther, the worst lag will get !
2 - have a good internet connection. (having a modem that can send and receive lots of data at once)
3 - Do not play during PEEK hours. (the time where everyone goes on at the same time)
4 - play in a server where there is low amount of people !
5 - play around the network options to find your best options of play. (lag boost and all)

those are the only options to lower LAG itself...
all other options, only lower the FPS issues, which if you have a computer that is like this...

CPU : 1000 mhz
RAM : 256 megs
VIDEO : 64 megs

then you won't have any problem playing the game !
the FPS problem doesn't concern you at all if you have these requirements !
if you don't then it is probably not lag that is your worst ennemy !

to lower FPS problems...
1 - turn off backgrounds
2 - turn off sounds
3 - Turn off Auto-Fps (can't turn it on now a day)
4 - close all other programs running on your computer.

that's about all i can think of !

umm...I think its their connection 56kers lag heavily and dsl users too
