Or he could have meant Goku as in Akuma. In that case Goku would still wipe the floor with Ryu.

That it the stupidest question anyone has ever asked me, Goku would kill ryu with a single puch. Goku would bang ryu up befor ryu has even seen the guy. Goku could kick everyone ass at once who is in this game.

well i have my own idea.
suppose he meant goku when he is not a supersaiyen
against ryu. but if ryu were to i don't know.. turn into evil ryu. goku would have to turn supersaiyen just to keep up.
in my opinion goku and ryu would be evenly matched(since it would be easy for ryu to learn how to fly since he has good in his heart except for his ahem "case" of "skiztofrenia")

i reckon ryu wood cos he can attack from long distance with his senko hadoken but thts me a huge ryu/ken fan!!!!
