Dowloaded version problems...freezes! - The game freezes in character selection

Hi...I downloaded the game from the site and it doesn't seem to work properly.

Ok...Firstly...the download was successful...and I can load the game instaneously, which is great...but I can't play it.
Every-time I get into the character selection screen, and I or my opponant select a character the game freezes on me...and after the 10 second timer goes to zero...it says 'server connection lost'.

The Game even freezes on me in the 'Practise' section after I pick a character or after a short while.

Ok...I unzipped the files succefully...and when I click on XvsSF on C:\...I have to click on 'cancel' for all the files;('cRyu, cWolverine, cChunli, cHSentinel, cCyclops, cOnlsaught, cSounds, cMusic, cBack2 and cSpiderman')

...It won't let me click on 'open' because it says 'file not found' for some reason? Is this not a problem..is this meant to happen...or is this why its not working for me??

Can Some-one Help me Out Please!
