Okay this topic is dedicated to SF2 strategies, and tactics.
First we'll start with SF2: the world warrior I've only considered one person better than me, and he was the Minnesota champion in SF2. He picked Ken which was a terrible choice I thought, and I picked Guile since he owns. Every #### time I did a flash kick, he'd over ride my flash kick with a shoryuken. Shoryuken is invincible when it's going up. It can go through fire balls too. Ken was one of the worst characters to use in SF2: TWW. Ken has no knock down power with his shoryuken, or tatsumaki senpuu kyaku, his hadouken can be easily dodged and your hands stay rested there which the opponent would easily jump to you and HK you. Ken's tick was bad, it was fast, but it had no range. But this guy broke that barrier. I only managed to get one round on him, and he wasn't even trying! He even got a perfect on me once(#### corner trap). Well anyways. List your strategies, and if you want, listen the people who you fought that you thought were really good in SF2. Guile(you) vs. E Honda: E Honda is very strong, your opponent will know that since your a charger, and honda is a big guy, youll want to go back. Honda players will try to corner trap you with the 100 hand slap. You can avoid that! take the advantage, that is the key! do a sonic boom, anbd when he's going to jump over it(they will almost always do that) directional jump forward, and press HK, or if your a pro, do a flash kick. keep buffering sonic booms, and doing combos. Never ever let honda players get you in the corner. Guile(you) vs. Blanka: This shouldn't be too hard. Blanka players always like to jump so use your ole anti-air. when you catch them trying to charge back(you can tell if they keep jumping back, or they are walking back, or they crouch for a while) then wait, when the rolling attack is near, FLASH KICK! Blanka will then lost half is life. Don't do sonic booms unless your far away from your opponent. When blanka tried to zap you, do a sonic boom. Guile(you) vs. Dhalsim: Dhalsim players are very tricky, they make a AI system at hardest look like a n00b. Anyways, DHalsim players will mainly use standing HK since thats what makes dhalsim second best in the game. Dhalsim players will not use yoga fire, they might use yoga flame though, but don't expect it. don't jump against a dhalsim player, unless the dhalsim player jumps. then do a HK to knock them down. When Dhalsim comes twisting against you, flash kick him. And when your far away from him, just do some SB's, and your done. Guile(you) vs. Chun: One of your easiest matches if you pay attention. Chunli is the 3rd best in the game, but shes no match for Guile. Chun Players always jump, it's time for that anti-air to come in. If you get in the corner, that's fine, but your going to have to be more serious since her lightning kick can corner trap you. Watch out for her ticking, and pokes, she has the best ticks and pokes in the game(well next to Dhalsim). basically this fight is a breeze. Guile(you) vs. Zangief This is the easiest battle. Just jump in and out doing HK, and throw sonic booms all over the place, when zangief jumps, do a flash kick. a n00b can beat him(unless you face the best gief player in the world) No one has ever beaten me using zangief. Guile(you) vs. Ryu/Ken: Ryu and Ken are one of the worst in the game, but they can be very tricky, especially with the humiliation I suffered against the Minnesotan champ. If you flash kick, they'll shoryuken you, sonic boom, they'll hadouken or shoryuken. they wont do tatsumaki senpuu kyaku, because you can easily flash kick it. the main move they'll use is shoryuken, and no its not likely youll catch them in a berserker-shoryuken. They won't jump in and HK you, because they can defend themselves. Your only choice is to make sure they make a wrong move, or just play tick game with them(which almost likely won't work). The AI is too predictable, but not human players. |
