Sentinel vs Ryu
the cheap ryu users will constantly launch hadouken after hadouken, but if they do that you have an advantage, sentinel's fire beam which can cut through the hadouken. so dont worry if your up against a cheap bastard. but the skilled users are a different story. the kicks ryu has can damage sent pretty badly, and sent's height gives you a disadvantage, so try to avoid them as much as possible. its also a good way to corner sentinel so launch out a few sentinel forces low or medium to get out. skilled ryu users have a tendancy to show up out of nowhere with attacks, that gives you a problem performing plasma storm, so before u do plasma storm, always do sent force medium, then plasma storm. that way, it prevents them from canceling the move quickly. Sentinel vs Ken ken is different from ryu because his moves are more of close range, in which he shares a similarity to wolverine. but cheap users will still launch hadouken after hadouken, so be ready to counter with fire beam. his special move, shippu jinrai kyaku, cannot be stopped by super moves, only plasma storm if your fast enough. otherwise, block or dodge if you can cause if the hits dont hurt you, the uppercut will. also be ready to use sent force high cause skilled ken users will be ready to take it higher into the air via ken's ability to do an uppercut while in the air. just remember to know when to get back cause his moves, like the shinryuken, are close range but devastating. other than that, ken isnt too hard to take on. Sentinel vs Akuma similar to ryu in which he can do sudden attacks out of nowhere and his kicks can do a great of deal of damage to sent. but one of his moves, tenma gou zankuu, isnt that easy to defend against because of sentinel's height. so be behind him or block to avoid serious damage. but one move you will certainly hate is the raging demon, the cheap akuma users will always try to catch you in it and fire beam cant stop it. so when you see lvl 3, keep a level by your side and be fast on performing sentinel force cause once the screen turns black, that could be it depending on how low your life is and how quick you travel to danger. other than that, akuma is similar to ryu so perform the same strategy for ryu but in a slightly different way. Sentinel vs Sakura her move, shouken(the dash move) isnt hard to stop. a simple fire beam or rocket punch will slow her down. her hadoukens are fired at a 45 degree angle so watch your distance because of sent's height. her shinku hadouken in the air is like akuma's but covers nearly the entire screen, same on the ground. luckily it doesnt do too much damage but still, you dont wanna be caught in it while not blocking. overall, sakura is not a smart choice to put up against sentinel unless the fool goes cheap and keep doing ariel hadouken, your gonna have to rocket punch and fire beam thier ass, so this match has owned all over it. Sentinel vs Chun-Li now its hard to determine how a chun li user is gonna be. they can be either slow or quick. some might be real good at launching energy balls out in rapid succession while others make good hit and run attack, alternating between super energy ball and super lighting kick. and cheap idiots will try to get upclose and do lighting kick till they break their fingers. just remember to back away when she does energy ball(or block it) and use hit and run. sometimes in the first round you may have to observe the user to see how they use chun li. Sentinel vs Cyclops cyclops an be a threat to sentinel at times or not. but the cheap users are a problem. when they do optic cannon constantly, dont fear, use fire beam and stop them. but because of sent's height, be very careful when upclose, optic blast high can be used continuosly without any delay and does alot of damage after a while. becareful in the air too cause of that move. otherwise, use hit and run tatics against cyke to nail this one in the bag. Sentinel vs Wolverine wolverine is a pretty dangerous character to go up against. not only can charging slash go through some of sent's moves and allow him to keep up with sent, but his attacks are only melee and very devestating. so like cyclops, perform hit and run tatics, but sometime you may have to keep your distance most of the round depending on how vicious they are. since wolverine has no projectiles, that gives you a slight advantage, but he's still not easy to take on though. because of sent's height, he still vulnurable to drill claw, especially when jumping over a projectile move like rocket punch and sentinel force. but remember, sentinel force is your best friend, especially when caught in the corner, and if you think ryu is bad, wolverine is just worst. remember to use hit and run tatics to throw them off and make it hard for them to keep up with you. Sentinel vs Sentinel now, your evenly matched up on controls and commands, but not exactly on skills depending on who your fighting. cheap sentinel users will keep doing fire beam over and over and a few rocket punches and then plasma storm and etc. just jump over all of that while jumping, and show the bastard what you got. but skilled users are similar to ryu in which they will keep attacking you from the air when making an approach. so remember to make your offensive approach as well and pour in all your skills and combos. may the better man win. Sentinel vs Spiderman some people say spiderman can easily beat sentinel, but i beg to differ. its the other way around. many cheap spiderman users tend to 'live' in the air and bombard you with webball and spiderkick. but dont even think about giving up. down forward p3 is what you need to take them down, sentinel force high. sentinel also has an ariel advantage so you can simply find ways to knock the pest out of the air. but his super moves, maximum spider, takes sentinel out very badly. so you gotta be extra fast on whipping out sent force to stop him cold. the other move, web sting, does insane damage as well. so block that move, get higher than he, or get behind him. it may seem like a tough fight, especially when they start the corner raping with webballs and spiderkicks, few sent forces should stop that, but play your cards right and you'll emerge victorious. Sentinel vs Bison bison has relatively powerful moves. unfortunatly, he is slow, so even sent can gain an advantage in speed. just stay on the offensive and you can easily win this match. Now the combinations: -Press mk, hk, Sentinel force, rocket punch, fire beam. -Press mk, jump and do mk again. -For your super if its immposible for you to get out: Sentinel force then plasma storm. -mk is your best offense in the air, followed by hk. -Crouch down, do fire beam then hk. good against wolverine. -Sentinel force low is always good to use. especially when doing plasma storm or getting out of a corner. -Perform Sentinel force, jump towards the opponent while also pressing MK, hit med punch a couple of times, mk, hk then fire beam[hp]. and i thought rewriting wolverine was tough, this was murder.
