the up close thing doesn't work against people that knows their characters !
blasting is surely sure to get yourself killed ! i mean lots have tryed against my sent, either be a beamer or being a closerm, but they all end up getting their butt handed to them ! best tip i can give, train harder and you will get your skills up to the challenge of defeating STORY MODE !
