Your right, but not fully. Today most "gangs" are either wanna-be's or people who have nothing better to do with their lives. In my city, Philadelphia, instead of gangs there are groups of people who represent the street the stay around. One example is 1j6 which is 16th and Jackson streets. This isn't considered a gang because these corner crews are all over the city. When there is beef, they will fight each other and call up other corners for help etc..... It is kind of crazy, but you just got to watch yourself. I also find it sad that I always see somebody different get addicted to pills, weed, ecstacy, or alcohol. My corner is well known, but you will never hear about us getting in fights or starting trouble unless someone gets jumped for stupid poop, which annoys the hell out of me. The thing that bugs me the most is kids who go around jumping people and robbing kids. I've heard many stories about people on SFO who have gotten jumped. All this bullpoop is causing people to carry weapons on them to defend themselves. I was trained a boxer for 3 years so I don't have to worry about certain things that other people have to worry about. Anyway, to get back on topic, I am gonna see if I can fix my digital camera. Hopefully, I can get a pic on here in a couple weeks.[/quote]
You both sound like nerds who get bullied or picked on by gangs. Gangs are for kids who like being around people they can understand or can socialize with and being in a gang gives u back up incase u need it and a respect for the streets. Maybe u 2 should live a outside life for once instead of judging before u see.
