** virus alert ** - Virus roaming by mail (read inside)

ok, i know its a little exagerated for an intro but you guys must know this and i hope the certain person i will mention knows what to do to get rid of the virus !

first i will explain how i came to the conclusion that there is a virus roaming among us.

I came tonight looking thru my EMAILS looking to see if my friend answered me. but what i found was these address waiting amongs my JUNK mails...

i received around 2 or 3 emails from them both and the emails had all the same message in them. they were sending me a file which was a link of windows. it was hidding under a poor .txt extension which of course was followed by a big 32 spaces and then finished with the extension .exe !

i erased the EXE extension and penned the file with NOTEPAD and to my surprise (i was actually waiting to find what i found) it was full of bullpoop... like this... "bvjdsipa;@,k12"$/"%6" it confirmed what i was thinking. a program file openned with notepad does that because the file is compiled into a program and is not readable by notepad after it, thus the file i had openned prooved to be a program file disguised as another file.

how did i ended up with it in my box... well that kind of virus are called WORMS. yes WORMS, they come by mail and then resend itself thru your mailiing list. thus many people added me to their list recently so now i am under the attack of that virus you got.

what to do against it ?
well if you got an anti-viral program such as NORTON ANTI-VIRUS or MCAFEE or even AVG, i would suggest you go on a clean computer download yourself a copy of the infamous F-PROT anti-virus put it on a CD and then check your machine with it !

DO NOT INSTALL THE ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE
just start it from the CD !
why so... well the virus may have corrupted your anti-virus software into thnking it was normal to have the virus thus your current anti-virus won't see the virus ! and yes that is possible wth today's viruses !

going from a NORMAL CD-R makes it impossible for the virus to modifie the anti-virus program thus he will tell you the truth !

hope this will help this community get rid of this plague that are the viruses. i'm not sure if i am infected but i am sure i am not. but fear not, for i have no mailing list, so even if i was infected there would be no list to send itself to.

hope this won't happen later and remember, do not open files you don't know about and always read what appears to you while surfing the web, you never know when something will ask you to download a virus !

remember, it always starts with a file, but always ends up with your computer being all messed up !

Be carefull, be intelligent, always makes sure you know which files does what, if not sure then erase don't keep it !
