This is seriously messed up - I want immediate action

i was fighting this person...they picked wolverine and i picked ryu....the screen behind him said spiderman and the game froze...when it started he had 1 green life bar+1 red life bar....and two chars..on a 1on1 match!!!!! he had wolv and spidey and when i beat 1 his life healed and the next 1 came while my life was low....he had unlimited helpers and he could not die at allll...dubya tee eff is this about?

i remember way back that there was a similar thing happening where you would enter a non tag match and for some reason the game would be a 2 on 1. I don't know if it's a bug or lag, it was prolly cause of lag though
