MMX3 had an ending ending, but they figured out how to keep Sigma alive, didn't they?

From the little I saw, I saw some old MMX enemies, which supports your theory. They were the circular robots with the long legs, and were white.

** history of MEGAMAN **

DR.Light is making a ROBOTIC ARMOR that can hold a human and transform him into a fighting machine against the EVIL MAVERICKS that DR. WILLIE made !

DR. LIGHT = good \___
DR. WILLIE = EVIL/ they are both rivals

that's how the story starts !
a little kid named ? ? ? (never knew his name) came to see his best friend (DR LIGHT) when suddently in LAB MAVERICKS over TOOK and the little boy took the ARMOR that DR LIGHT just finished and started fighting back ! thus MEGAMAN was born !

DR. LIGHT thought it was fate that such a young boy had that much potential. he decided to keep the boy in fighting shape and gave him lots of upgrades for the ARMOR !

now, MEGAMAN fough for justice and to bring DR LIGHT's nemesis in prison !
basically, megaman IS a BOY in an ARMOR, that's why he can remove the helmet from his head !

now getting into the X series...
DR. LIGHT is dead from now on, he died from something, but we don't know (never told anyway)

DR.LIGHT worked on a SPECIAL PROJECT called "X" (the name is REALLY X not MEGAMAN X)
X was the very first reploid to be born, he had great DESTRUCTION capability and he had the ability to ABSORB and INTEGRATE OTHERS WEAPON into his own SELF. but the best of all the abilities DR LIGHT gived to him, was the ability to THINK and FEEL !

DR. LIGHT got WORRIED about one thing after he finished it.
that was about his INTEGRITY.
he wondered what would happen if such a DANGEROUS ROBOTS became the ennemy ?
he putted X in a stasis filed for testing his integrity and DR LIGHT indicates clearly that the test took about 32 years to complete !

about 20 years later, DR CAIN a great scientist, has over taken the work of DR. LIGHT. but the reploids have been born for quite a while now, and lots of them as became mavericks ! se he founded the MAVERICK HUNTER HQ, which he is the HEAD MASTER.

after wuite a while the mavericks were just too strong for the HUNTERS and ZERO couldn't take them all by himself ! that's when X came into play. DR.CAIN relaeased him before the end of the INTEGRITY TEST and so X came too help, as he was the only chance to defeat all those mavericks !

With the HELP of ZERO's blaster (after ZERO's died in MMX1)
he successfully defeated SIGMA who was the cause of all the mavericks !

in MMX2, X is at RESCUE again, as an EVIL force has been RECUPERATING the PARTS of ZERO to bring him back to life ! after lots of time. X found out that the EVIL FORCE is nothing more then SIGMA AGAIN ! but SIGMA SUCCEFULLY BRing ZERO to life and so X was force to take ZERO out ! but X didn't destroyed ZERO he just deactivated it. and he defeated SIGMA again, but this time sigma escaped !

in MMX3, ZERO and X are against incredible odds when the HQ got attacked, the had to know who started this war against the HUNTERS !
(sorry can't continue more as i don't know much of this story, have to play the game till the end)
thou i know sigma got DESTORYED at the end !

in MMX4, now the best part has arrived... we finally know ZERO'S ORIGINS !
*ZERO'S DREAM*
ZERO look at the LAB, completely destroyed, reploids body all around the place as well as human bodys !
he then looks at his hand, they are all BLOODY.
then someone enter the room, that just a shadow, but those who know it sense it is ... it cannot be ... DR WILLY ! ZERO ask the man who he was, the man answered:"my masterpiece ! go out, destroy my nemesis" and the zero was about to ask the same thing, but the HEADACHE HURTED LIKE HELL. then he wokes up in bed hearing the alarm for a maverick ATTACK !

it start out as SKY LAGOONS falls because a mavericks named DRAGON (or something like that) took the reactor out. the worst thing is, he was an HUNTER before, in the 14th units ! ZERO/X wondered why he turn out to become a maverick !

the FALL of SKY LAGOON caused MILLIONS of VICTIMS amongst the HUMANS ! ZERO/X found out that the REPLIFORCE (reploid army) was down there too. the HQ decided they were the MAVERICKS and so the WAR between HUMANS and REPLOIDS started !

after a while ZERO fought the COLONEL (his former SABER MASTER) IRIS (colonel's sister) succesfully separate them. she asked ZERO not to KILL her BROHTER, ZERO couldn't promise it.
meanwhile X got troubles at the HQ as the MECHANIC named DOUBLE was an infiltrated MOLE.
X started to worryed about what was happenning !

a new weapon appeared in space, it was a giant SPACE CANNON, that could destroy BIG CITY'S in a flash. X/ZERO rushed in.

ZERO fought the COLONEL who was there as well. he had no choice but to kill him. then IRIS came in and climbed in that giant WAR ARMOR, she started attacking ZERO for destroying his brother. before dieing she asked ZERO to believe ina world where only reploids lived ! zero telled that such a place will never exist. but she said that the only important thing, was to actually dream of it !

*SPOILER ALLERTS* the next text DESCRIBE the ORIGINS of ZERO, or X's ENDING depending on which you played with !

ZERO ENDING:
ZERO found out SOMEONE had put SIGMA'S back online, but only his head had survived, so he got a new body. meeting him in front of the CANNON's CORE sigma unfold the truth about his REAGE against ZERO !

*animation of SIGMA'S MEMORY*
GENERAL SIGMA:"what is the situation ?"
SOLDIER1:"the maverick is in the factory sir, he has ended everyone's life and he took out the rest of our units !"
SIGMA:"fine, i'll go myself !"
*sigma gets there walking in, looks around and see a RED REPLOID destroying the consoles*
*ZERO turn around and laugh at SIGMA, an evil laugh, then he rushes to sigma and gives him a punch that sigma easily dodges, then ZERO comes at it again, SIGMA still dodges then sigma start fighting too. the fight goes on like hell until sigma gets it hard. he then gets his BEAM SABER out and start fighting ZERO who fought with his BARE HANDS ! then ZERO gets thrown flying towards the ceiling where his head ended in a DOCK sigma got on the nearest pipe and looks at the MAVERICK. ZERO gets his head out and LAUGH HARDER ! then takes a BIG PIPES and the fight resume, PIPES against BEAM SABER. great fight ! that's until SIGMA gets his right arm ripped, then ZERO took the arm and continued to bash at SIGMA now defenseless ! while sigma was waiting his death, ZERO SUDDENTLY STOPPED and started to yell, HOLDING HIS HEAD ! a "W" had appeared in ZERO's FRONTAL CRYSTAL ! sigma didn't hesitated and took his only chance of survival and broke it into pieces ! which sended ZERO on the floor DEACTIVATED*
SOLDIER1:"here comes general sigma."
SOLDIER2:"ha, no one has ever beaten sir sig... what ?"
*sigma coming out badly injured and having trouble walking*
*both soldiers were shocked*
SIGMA:"i want that reploid back at the HUNTER HQ, DR CAIN will have to INSPECT IT"
*sigma still walking out of the scene*
*end of sigma's memory*

SIGMA:"see, you were a maverick from the start."
ZERO:"that cannot be !"

*after some more talking about how sigma wants him dead. the fight begins and ZERO wins it, then he destory the CANON and gets into a shuttle and escape back to the HQ*

ZERO:"no, iris, why ? "
*remember iris's dead*
ZERO:"why has they all done that. perhaps the destiny of all reploids is to become MAVERICKS AFTERALL !"
*RADIO OPEN, X on the screen, we got a new mission ZERO come back to the HQ as soon as possible !*

X'S ENDING... really short
- MEET SIGMA
- SIGMA tells that it was never about X, but X never stopped
- X ESCAPE in the shuttle after defeating sigma and destroying the CANNON

X:"will i become a maverick all the rest ?"
*RADIO OPENS*
ZERO:"X, come back to the HQ as soon as you can !"
X:"ZERO, i want to promize me that if i become a maverick, you will take care of me !"
ZERO:"... ... DON'T say such STUPIDITIES !"
X:"PROMISES ME, zero !"

END OF THE ENDING

after that i don't know any story except for the MEGAMAN ZERO on GBA, which is VERY GOOD and true to the serie !
i think X becomes a maverick at the end of MMX6 but i'm not sure of it !

in mmx6 there are 2 endings.
1) mmx finds zero and they live happyily ever sfter (supports my ending ending theory)
2) zero is locked awoy to never be found for 100 years,
THUS mmzero is born! it is a spin-off of mmx6. but a spin-off of the oppisite ending(the finding 0 one) could be mmx7 (still trying to find out if mmx7 is a remake or not).

and in japan they had an arcade game of mega man my friend has played it. he says it intros wily blue prits for an unbeatible full-proof robot ZERO! made way before mmx4. this is how 0 is full proof the diamond on zeros head is a mechanism (which is destroyed when he fights sigma while zero is a maverick) this what it does. if it sees a robot strnger than he it makes zero go nuts. when the thing breaks open it uleashes a virus that akes him evil. but it had a flaw it ;et zero live and that was his un doing.
