It's Alive!!! - help a newbie out

Ok, I've been playing for weeks now, and have played against some of you veterans whilst holding my own (and in some cases more) but I've just now decided to check the site out further.
I had no idea there was a tourney and I left fights before the countdown whenever I didn't want a rematch. So if someone could explain the tourney a little more in depth then the faq, I'd appreciate it. Don't raz me too badly for not searching through archives of posts. I'm tired and I have to go to work in the morning. I'll check back tomorrow.

Yeah, that link has some tourney info, and for a site covering the whole all in all (at least in a bit, just got access ;p ) try out http://projectx.cyberfuturism.com/warmor
