You know who you are. Yes that's right, the dumb ass. The #### who doesnt even put punctuation, and makes run on sentences creating so many spelling errors.

Call me professor Tarkan, your english professor. Right now We will learn all this grammar, punctuation, and spelling that most of you people keep missing.

,- , is a comma. a comma is a punctuation that pauses a sentence, for example:

"He went up against the best, and got his ass kicked"

You see how I "paused" that sentence? Now Moving on...

.- . is a period. It is a punctuation used when the sentence has ended, for example:

"He logged into the game."

You see how I ended the sentence?

!- ! is an exclamation mark. It is used as expression, when your happy, and yelling, or when your angry, and berserk. For Example:

"Top ranked player fight me!"

See how I was expressing myself?(I hope you do)

?- ? is a question mark. It is used when you ask something, and want an answer. For Example:

"Why do I never do any damage when I hit the opponent?"

See... I asked something, and I want an answer.

:- : is a colon. It is used when you are listing things, and giving data on what it is, or how it is, or what not. For example:

PlayerA: 1st place
PlayerB: 2nd place
PlayerC: 3rd place

See how I was listing data for the players ranks?

;- ; is a semi-colon, it is used when your going to end a sentence, but it has not quite ended yet, it's like a period, and comma put together(shown by its sign). For Example:

"That person is too good; I will train harder"

note: This might be a little to experienced for most of you, so you don't have to use ;"

'- is an apostrophe(sp?). An apostrophe is used when you are talking about the person owns what ever. For Example:

"that is TarkanX's red Ryu"

See how I used the apostrophe, I(TarkanX), and my character(Red Ryu)

Spelling:
----------
I hate when people spell so horribly!

"as most of u know shenkatai got shut down SO COULD ANY 1 FILL me in were the clans forums hav moved 2 or have they been ahhinlted of the whole net... "

This has to be one of the most spelling errors(and grammar errors) in a sentence, there is so much wrong.

Please don't type fast, if your not an experienced fast typer, then type slow. Read a dictionary. Go to typing classes. Your not in a rush(most of you at least).

Example of terrible post:
----------------------

1.k first things first ryu did have raging demon he had
it in mvs.capom and alpha3 it was one of his new moves
after defeating apocalypse it was called mode change
he could do ken and akumas moves and speacials
2.when u go to practice and use wolverine berserker
barage it takes out half of sentenals life so if u remember
raging demon also takes half ur life so stop winning
about how much it takes of and if he never had it
any wayz and plus d u know how many buttons r in raging
demon well its 5 because u press u & i together and thats
my reason he should getso nahh and the only
reason angryfires on is because it represents when akuma
takes u to hell and back

Example of clean post:
-----------------------

1. Okay first things first, Ryu did have Raging Demon, he had
it in M vs. Capcom and Alpha 3. It was one of his new moves
after defeating Apocalypse, it was called Mode Change.
He could do Ken and Akuma's moves and specials.

2. When you go to practice, and use Wolverine's Berserker
Barrage, it takes out half of Sentinels life. So if you remember
Raging Demon also takes half of your life, so stop whining
about how much it takes off, and if he never had it
anyways, and plus do you know how many buttons are in raging demon? Well it's 5, because you press u & i together and thats my reason he should getso nahh, and the only
reason angry fires on is because it represents when Akuma
takes you to Hell and back.

I know I missed some here, but man... that was some terrible grammar...

Posting useless things:
----------------------

There are so many times that a good topic gets ruined because of a dumb ass who posted something useless. Always think first, when I'm going to go in this topic, what am I going to post? If you have nothing to say, then don't post, and don't spam either.

Going off topic:
-----------------

This is a major syndrome in the forums, a topic can easily go off topic, but only because of the post link together, but they arent entirely the same.

Let's say I'm talking about X-men, and how Cable had to fight Apocolypse in the bad future, someone might post how cable is a scrubby character because of his MvC2 incarnation, then that post alon will become a topic, and others will agree, and disagree.

This is fine because it usually happens, but please stick with the topic, if you have nthing to say that deals directly with the topic, then don't post.

Reviving old topics:
--------------------

This always gets me pissed, usually when an old topic is revived, it is revived by someone who is a dumb ass. For Example:

http://bbs.projectx.cyberfuturism.com/cgi-bin....4;t=254

See how the topic from almost a year was revived by a ####? Well from now on, no one should revive old topics, unless they have something smart to back it up.

Abusing the smileys:
---------------------
So many people, so many idiots. I hate when people go rampant using smilies everywhere

There is only need in using one smiley(or two at max) per sentence. Anymore than that is just too much. And you don't have to put a smiley everytime in your posts.

Posting in the wrong Forum:
---------------------------

This happens a lot, especially when the person is new. It's okay if your new, but it's not okay if youve been here for at least a week. Next time, even if you are new, please read each forums dexcription before posting in the right forum.

Flaming:
---------

I hate when this goes on, someone says something stupid, then someone else joins in and says something inappropriate. This is useless, don't talk back to anyone, don't flame anyone, don't say you hate anything. Unless MAYBE if the person acts like a total dumb ass, don't flame. And for you 12 year olds, your not even supposed to be swearing, or saying "suck on your moms dick". Have your parents/guardians taught you nothing?

Well this is all I can think of, if any smart person, or a not dumb ass wants to add anything to it, feel free to do so. And all the dumb asses, or at least everyone, please read this topic! Thank you!

Yeah, this kinda stupidity's been outa hand for a while.

Topics Like this one. Who all's up at 4:00 a.m. honestly? That's just begging to be bitched at.

Hating I've seen far too much of, starting for no reason at all, and proving just how idiotic you can be by intentionally insulting people and starting fights.

Spamming, one of the worst forms of stupidity, and a dam waste of forum space.

The worst, of course, stupidly reviving year old topics like this one, or this one... or just being a stupid hypocrit and criticizing thost that stupidly revive threads half as old as you do like this guy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... "We're suffering from a black hole of stupidity that's sucking in youthful, unexposed, ###### minds and squishing them into the size of electrons."

Hmm... nice topic. As a matter of fact, I do have a few things I'd like to add.

1. TYPING WITH THE CAPS LOCK ON AT ALL TIMES

There's no excuse for this. Do you have any idea how idiotic you look when you do this?

2. Not knowing the difference between "your" and "you're" (since we're on the subject of grammar).

I'm not one to nitpick everyone's grammar, but I see even some of the more intelligent posters make this mistake (even MODs).

Example: "your retarded"

Your retarded what? Your retarded dog? Your retarded mother? What?!

The correct way to say this is, "You're retarded." You're is a contraction for you are, whereas your is used strictly to imply ownership.

This is simple stuff, people. It is to grammar, what 2+2=4 is to math. What has become of our public school system, when people haven't even mastered 2nd grade grammar skills? I doubt many people around here knew the difference, anyways (before I pointed it out). But if you ever make a mistake like that on, say, a term paper for an English class in college, you should get one letter grade taken off automatically, IMO.

3. Replying to an intelligent post, which is part of a serious discussion, with worthless spam.

Example:
*insert an essay by 2000warrior here*

Reply #1: MAN THAT WAS LONG
Reply #2: i aint readin that bull sh*t
Reply #3: I agree
Reply #4: has anyone here played soul caliber 2 yet
Reply #5: WHAT
Reply #7: screw u and ur mom

.....

4. Incorrect spelling/grammar in someone's sig.

This is annoying, because you have to look at it every time he or she posts. You'd think people would put more thought into it for that very reason, but oh well...

Example:
Toon-Ryu's signature says the following:
Dont think youre the strongest. You might get suprised.

Now, with the exception of the apostrophe that's missing in the "you're," I am actually impressed that he knows the difference between your and you're (see above). However, his second sentence is quite erroneous. You might "get suprised?!" Does that even sound right? A better way to say it, is "You might be surprised," or "You might get a surprise." Note that there is clearly an r between the u and the p in surprise.

5. Replacing simple two or three letter words with one letter, number, or symbol.

Examples:

"r u ready 2 play"
"where r u @"
"let me no b4 u go"
"y r u mad"

Some people might think this is cute, cool, or whatever, but I think it's downright moronic. Is it really that hard to type words like you, are, to, too, at, before, and why? Why is it cool to be an idiot nowadays?

Well, that's about it for now. I'll post some more, if I think of them.
