Adressing the lag issue - iu was just thinking

i have a question
is lag the fact that one connection is running at less frames then the other?
if so wouldnt it be alot easier for the interface to detremine what is the best framerate between both connections and use that framerate for the gameplay?
cuase if im on 56k and i get 20 fps and can play well and the cable user can play well with 60fps then why not set it to 20fps for both players there shouldnt be any lag is im correct =)

Your internet connection does NOT determine how fast (fps wise) the game will run on your computer (your cpu speed does that).

If you go into the console menu (in-game chat) and type "/fsp" you'll find out how fast the game is running on your end.

The optimal speed for this game is 40 FPS. And yes, as wel all know, the original arcade game runs @ 60 FPS.

my girl has a 466mhz with a shitty vcard
so i messed with the display settings and i noticed that i can run this game at 256 colors when i tried that and made the window as small i can playable i got a max of 68fps
cool huh thoe the colors were shitty
