Nice topic. I think it might be possible to travel at the speed of light, just as long as we have the technology to do so. It would also depend on if the person could survive the ride at the speed of light. If there was an invention that would prevent you from feeling and being effected from the g-forces of accelerating to the speed of light then I dont see why it wouldnt be impossible. And 2000warrior, our galaxy and another galaxy are traveling towards one another. So in about 3 million years we will be colliding with another galaxy and one of 2 things might happen:1) If we are on the opposite side of the galaxy then we will be thrown into the black emptyness of space 2) if we are on the side of the colliding galaxies then we will be caught into the black hole of the colliding galaxy. Since every galaxy has a black hole, our black hole and the black hole of the colliding galaxy will merge to form an even bigger more destructive black hole and earth will be sucked into it. First the oceans will evaporate into space then wel will burn from the heated gases from around the black hole and eventually get sucked into the black hole. Well I got alittle off track but why not mention it.

i'm on summer vacation........well anywho....... anything can go at the speed of light but only for a short time......how long does it take for sun rays to reach the earth? i forget.....8 seconds or eight minutes? but things would melt or explode or desinegrate.......its impossible for matter such as these to go at such speed........how fast is the speed of light anywho? 93,000,000 miles a second or something?.......oh well........ when's the next time one of us is gonna be traveling at the speed of light?

I just realised i didn't log in, but meh....

Ok, here's what i don't get.

Speed = Distance divided by Time, Right?

Therefore how can speed affect time, if speed itsself is a measurment of time? You are changing the very thing it's being measured by.

It's like saying the longer something is, the more an inch is worth.

Since this topic hasn't gone anywhere, I'm gonna say something.

A neutron star weighs 1 billion tons per teaspoon, and is only 10 miles across. A black hole is infinitely more dense. So basically what we are made up of is space and gamma rays can pass right through our bodies and the rest of the earth for that matter, because of our miniscule amount of density compared to other matter. So, that means that basically, we do not exist compared to other matter. This is a fact. I'd like people to discuss this.

It may be a miniscule amount, but that dosn't deny us existence. Even if something is infinitely small, it is still there.

I wouldnt say we are bacteria, i would say we are more like a virus.I am gonna quote the matrix "We move from one area to another consuming all the natural resouces until there is nothing left."
