clans are a pain in the ass to maintain...and i forone have to much to work to deal with period with this forum/email/loading bots as much as possible due to the "new" kids thinking they are the shit in the servers.... kids IMing me just to say "hi" when they know i never respond unless it's important :biggrin:

if clans were to be here guess who would have to do ALL the work? guess who would have to deal with passwords that leaked out due to one clan hating another and sending "spys" to join the other clan to give the passes to the locked areas to all in the chats which results in constantly having to change the passes of ALL the clans...clan section never worked back in 2k2 and wont work anytime soon since most if not all the ppl who play the game are new and all the old ppl who are actually mature either don't come here anymore or bother playing the game more than once a month.

This has been discussed many times and all those times most if not all the mods/admins agree with no clan sections but our votes don't really compare to TMyApp vote now do they? but i guess in this case it does since he agress aswell making it a total landside in favor of NOT having clan sections any time soon... :biggrin:

maybe if i was up to doing the whole work (which i'm not) he might consider it who knows.. we'll never know now will we? :biggrin:

Look man, this has been beaten into the brains a whole lot more than you can imagine. Sure updates to THIS forum would be "okay"... but compared to what TMyApp and the rest of us (mods and admins) should be really working on tweaking is the game. The reason for the existence of this forum is the game and such, the game should be the one getting more attention.

Don't get me wrong, any kind of update is a good update, but if you want to compare numbers, try comparing the number of ppl we monitor in the servers just in the DOR server, not the combination of all servers (when they're working :biggrin: ) and compare that to the number of ppl go to bg in a whole day. Then you'll begin to understand how things work around here.

And just as noted by Nferno666, dealing with clans here would absolutely degrade the way things run and would give us wayy too much work to actually do. Maybe one dayy some type of interface would be introduced to make things different, but for now things would remain the way they are.

Also consider the fact that most ppl playing the game are pre teens and you can imagine the lengths at which these kids would go to 'get and edge' over their opponents who are in different clans. This would of course increase by 400% fold the amount of emails sent to info@streetfighteronline.com, and then support@streetfighteronline.com and eventually, blanka09@streetfighteronline.com

To add to the clan issue. Since I don't host any servers, tweak the game, create anything for the game,etc..etc...this is how I feel I'm giving back to the community. By putting up with the crap kids hand me daily that has to do with clans. I don't complain often b/c it's really the only thing I do for the community(not including modding this forum and the servers)

So in all honestly I would rather not have clans here at the "official site." If they were I'm sure more than likely they would be run by only Nferno and TMyApp. Thus, I would be useless =/

People are quick to forget that his forum is simply a place for users to post feed back about SFO, questions and comments about SFO, or just speaking about it in general. It's not suppose to be some supder duper fancy forum. Doesn't need to be. The more time TMyApp would spend on "updates" for the forum the less time he'd be spending on working on SFO.

argh...all I wanted to do was inform ppl of my(once again) BG News updates. Didn't think it would get so out of hand.
