Wow. I've seen it all now. As y'all know 50 cent has his own clothing line for men and women, his own sneakers, his own videogame, and own movie. Well what's next!?.........MP3 WATCHES!!

The rap star 50 Cent is branching out into the listening end of the music business, lending the name of his G-Unit rap group and record label to a wristwatch with an MP3 player tucked inside.

The G-Unit MP3 Watch, due out in jewelry stores this month, packs 256 or 512 megabytes of memory inside its stainless-steel case. It comes with its own earbud headphones with retractable cords and a power adapter for charging it up between wearings.

The 512-megabyte model can hold up to 16 hours of music, and a version of the watch planned for this fall will double that. The watch has buttons around the edge of the face to control play, fast-forward and rewind, plus an equalizer. A discreet U.S.B. port allows the watch to be connected to a computer for loading music files. Prices start at $486 for the smallest-capacity watch. But compared with the $3,500 model at the top of the G-Unit watch line, which is diamond-coated but MP3-less, they are a lot more practical for that gym workout.

im sure the version of the watch that has the diamonds coated on it will look much better... well what do y'all think. good idea?....bad idea?..... stupid idea?....... something you'd buy?....somethin u wouldn't buy?..... give your comments

That's a bad idea. Lift up your arm to smack someone and bam, it disconnects.

hey watch what u say. 50 is a gangsta...just kidding. But who would buy a watch with an mp3 player...the watch would require more power and a greater chance of getting electricuted.

...I know right...I'd probably bang it against the wall or something...I wonder if it's water proof...if it isn't...then it really is a bad idea...what if you go to wash your hands and forget it's on....

What a waste of time. Think about it people

-an Ipod holds ALOT more memory than it
-it costs less than the watch

If you need the timw, check the clock or your cell phone. I'm sure the world isn't THAT lazy.

lol paladin... but that explains the purpose of the watch. the person who will actually buy is too lazy to look at a clock so they buy an expensive thing so they have a reason to look at the time... This reminds me of a drake and josh episode. the one with the gary coleman grill/ mp3 player...LOL
