Religion - Good/bad

Well, when I was younger, I was pretty religous kid, always listend to my parents and was afraid of God if i did a sin. But as I soon grew older, my religous faith started to fade because i came to ask my self, why would God let us have soo much hate between religions (NOT EVERYONE). Shouldnt there be one religion than many different kinds??? Why did this world become soo corrupt, Wars and Crimes. You have SOME priests molesting children, SOME Muslims (for which I am) blowing them selves up stating it is a holy war, pratically trying to ruin once a very pure religion in my heart still is. I Came to believe that the best faith for anyone, is just to use your Heart and Mind, because those are the two keys of Ethics in your life. You do what you think is right realizing the casue and affect of your action. Well my main question is...Do you believe this world will be better off with or without religion. I first said with out, but then i thought a little deepers, for some people it gave us moral standards, such as drinking, sexual tolerances, respect for one self and others, basically, self Discipline. But then, it did erupt some wars and enemies and hate. So what do you guys think?

my father told me dont beleive anything that cant be proven.
its funny how ALL of the events that lead to religions took place when theres no way of recording it...physically anyway. i dont take nobodies word for it. i aint got time to repent my sins coz id be doing it forever an im a busy drug dealer.

I think this world is better with religion. I can't imagine a world without it. If I could imagine it, the world would probably even worse than how it is today.

I do believe in god, bur I'm not the type of person to go to church and pray all the time. Although I'm a Christian, I do my best to follow the 10 commandments such as No lieing, stealing, so on and so on.

In my opinion, I'm not really the religous type because I don't even do half of what most christians do.

im not a religious person at all. I believe in god and everything, but i don't go to church, never really read the bible, and just dont follow religion.

Over time I became aware of the different conflicts religious belief and worship has caused. And if you look at each religion in it's own way, they're all different and unique in their own right, yet we're supposed to follow one and believe that one is right?

I choose to avoid religions all together, because it's much less conflict and trouble to believe what you want, instead of what a "holy scripture" wants you to.

Someone tell me one good thing religion has done. Has it ever stopped a war? (oh on the contrary, it's started like a hundred wars) Has it ever cured a disease? (oh, on the contrary, the catholic church's ban on condoms has led to the aids virus spreading) Has it ever liberated a group of people? (More like oppressed groups like gays, women and people from other races)

Yes, religion is the best thing ever.

I went selling candy for charity for the homeless and voluntered at the homless shalter.
