Info? - Help im new

Could anyone tell me how all of these tournaments, clan wars stuff go? I'm trying to figure it out, sounds like fun

edit: what i mean is like, how do you sign up, how are they run, how/when do you play, etc.

To your question. People make there own topic and they say register for the tournament. That when u post your information. When does they start? Is when they make a new topic or sometimes they say round 1. If you apply, they will have your name on it and you find your oppenent
