hmm. the first one isn't as appealing as the 2nd banner. Thet both pass according to me, it's just the 2nd banner looks better.

The 2nd one is pretty much nothing on it .. all he did was add the image and covered it up with scanlines.

exactly. so id rather go with the first but don't like the grid..
