actually u know what i find highly amussing the word "document" try to type it in game.... man me and my freinds got the biggest kick out of it i mean i can understand why the filter says what it says becuse there is an unappropriate word in "document" but then again so there is in "assassin" or "cumbersome" but none the less yeah the bot is strict as hell but all for "good" reason.... heh document ... lol

My point is, due to the way the old members have behaved, the "strict" filter if you put it that way has to be imposed on all members that join Street Fighter Online. Once in a while, there's gonna be a wierd kicking here and there cause it's a BOT. If an admin was sitting by the computer controlling the BOT, that won't make much sense... why not just go in there and begin to kick people?? It's just "run" by one ofus.. not controlled persay (there might be some exceptions... but that's just by the way side :biggrin: )

And those who don't give "poop" about being kick would just get terminated from the game. They'll be banned in ways not even Nostradamus could have predicted :biggrin:

Okay I got you there. but we're not discussing the old members at this point. Most old members don't even help NEW members around the game, which is unfair. but hey, let them be selfish. As I said before if a #### were to be kicked for saying a word by accident, think about it. That's why I say give 3 strikes then kick 'em.

And once again, what's with censoring the #### and #### words? They're not cuss words. It's not like they can't defend themselves if they're called a ####.

This bot controlling thing, who controls it, the admin. The admin puts the filters in the bot... your saying a BOT came out of the blue and just took control of SFO to see who's flaming who? Think about it... That's why I say you MODs/ADMINs run it. Which is completely strict.

Plus you know what's dumb, why put ASSASSIN in the filter. You're being kicked for saying ASSASSIN that's rediculous. Or document, if you're thinking of it as a bad way then that's immuture.

Just a point of correction.. I'm pretty sure the words "ASSASSIN" and "document" aren't in the filter.

As for the words that we filtered out, they're all for specific reasons.. some of which you should know and some of which you wouldn't. The "n" word was filtered out cause of the way people use it. It's not a matter of one defending himself but it's a way of making the game a bit more serene for people who don't like to be "attacked" very much

That word can be used and abused. Imagine someone calling you that just because you don't want to fight.. or say because you won them with a strategy he/she did not like. I'm very sure every word added to the filter was there for a reason and that cannot be denied :biggrin:

Call the BOT strict... call us strict... well, I won't even try and argue with that cause even TMyApp has stated that that's the way things would be run around here. It's not our fault people from all aspects of life play the game and some of which turn out to be nothing but trouble. However, it's our duty to make those who're actually "sane" to enjoy the game admist the foolish ones.

The BOT isn't human once again.. and the yes, we put the words that are supposed to be there in it.. however, as I said earlier, it's still a BOT that can't actually tell when someone says something mistakenly.. *cough* :biggrin: .. or purposely.. so it can't actually give you 3 strikes at bat :biggrin:

And who cares IF that person calls a skilled player a the "n" word. (No it's not nigger btw...) They can defend themselves... once again. They call me it, I won't just sit there and be ##### about it. I will fight back, common sence. People today still get kicked for using ####. You can't stop them, 'nor your bot, [smackdown].

And I'll say this once again, you control the bot, you're putting filters in to have have anyone call people names and etc... so, your point, man?

And btw, for this forum and sfo, bleep out the word nigger and if they use it, ban them 'cuz that's disrespectful. You would wanna be called a nigger? Bleep 'em out in any type of form. Weither it's nigger, n1gger, nlgger, n|gger, and etc. Obviously they never heard poop about the histories of that word.

Hmm.. it seems this arguement has sorta drifted off it's main point. Imagination, you were kicked for saying "errrr" .. I'm sorry for that, however there is little to nothing we can do because you come in the chat sometimes and people just flood the servers saying nothing sensible. That's the reason some of the "repititive" letter/word filter is there.

As for other issues with the BOT and the words it contains, well we've reviewed every one of them and would continue to do that. However, I don't really see much changing from this point. It's the way it is cause of the kind of members we have in this community :biggrin:

Yeah okay that issue I understand... a little bit., but did you read what I said? Or I'll say it again, CENSOR the word NIGGER!

um.. I thought that was in the filter already.. well if it isn't we'll look into it... and most ofur post was editted due to it's comment. I really feel ur pain.. but you know there have been some users who come to the servers saying poop about white people.

We'll try and get rid of both sides to make everything fair.
