What's mIRC?

Allright, because so many people dont know what mIRC is and/or don't know how it work, im going to explain it to everyone. This is your chance to download alot of mixtapes, cd's, games, movies, songs, music video's, porn or whatever you want. Its easy and its fast and 100% for free!

If you don't know where to download and if you think its stupid to download 2500 loose songs from kazaa you can use this. I use it, because we dont have mixtapes here and because I dont like spending so much money on cd's.

buT remember to buy an album from time to time. Thats what true fans do. If you got interest in this program, read up. Don't pm me, but post everything about this in this topic. I'm sure there are alot of other people who know how to use mIRC and can explain it if I'm not logged in.

Downloading mIRC you can download from different sites. I know four, but one of them you have to pay for. Search on those sites you can download from for the file you need and want. All servers are being found that are prepared to deliver you that file. Click on the link to the server from the site you searched the file on and your being transferred to mIRC. You send a command to the server and the server sends you the file. Its being downloaded mostly with a speed between 100 and 200 kb/s if you got a normal server. This is the main thing what's happening. Doesn't matter if you still dont understand now, I'll do it step by step.

Steps to Major File Victory

1. You got to download the program mIRC. Its a small program. An alternative besides downloading, you can also chat with it, but this isn't very relevant right now. Download mIRC right here: http://www.mirc.com/get.html.

2. Install mIRC, just follow directions. Its a trial your downloading, but even when the trial expires it still works. Its a 30 day trial, but I got the program now for 6 months still working.

3. Open mIRC and register. This is fast. Just fill in everything. You got to fill in two names; your first and your alternative. This is needed, cos if your named 'yayo' for example and enter a server where already somebody is present who also uses the name 'yayo' it switches automaticly to the alternative name.

4. After you registered, its important to have the right setttings.

- Go to 'tools' on top
- Click on 'options' after that
- Click on the plus of DCC (+) and it will open
- Click on 'ignore'. Put the settings to this: 'Method: Disabled' and 'Turn ignore back on in' off (click in the spot on the left to put the black into white to put it off). Click on 'OK'.

5. Now you got the right settings you can download. You can download from the following sites:

- www.ircspy.com
- www.packetnews.com
- www.xdccspy.com

6. Ircspy.com is the best, so ill take the example there. Lets search for 50 cent's album to make the example easy. The search spot is in the right a bit above. Type: 'get rich or die tryin'. Not all the links will work. Sometimes you got to search a bit longer for the right link, but mostly you can search and find an album in 5 min and download it within 15 min (sometimes 5 ).

7. You see you can choose: Display offline bots: yes/no

- You got the red colors and the green colors with all the names of the servers.

Red = offline server (offline server doesnt always work, but it can work with a 50-50 chance)
Green = online server

So better keep 'Display offline bots' always on.

You can also choose 'Sort By'. Its the best to choose Sort by 'transfer'. Than it'll refresh the page and put the fastest downloads above.

8. Ill explain what you see

- The numbers (for example #9) indicate the specific server you can download the file from.
- 64.5 mb (for instance) = the file size
- 231 gets (for instance) = number of times the file had been send to someone; indicates how much chance you got it'll work
- 50_Cent_-_Get_Rich_Or_Die_Tryin (for instance) = name of the file
- Slots: number of free slots
- Queues; number of places occupied in the que
- Max KB; maximum download speed
- Updated; when the last time the server was updated (isn't really important)

9. Allright, now its becoming a bit more interesting. If you have choosen the file you want to download, follow the following steps:

- Click on the number (for example #5)
- It'll save the command you can use to download automatically
- It'll direct you to mIRC
- Click on OK with 'change servers and join the channel', unless your already connected to an server, than you have to choose 'open new connection...' (cos you can download more things at the same time )
- It'll connect first and after that open a new window, till that time do nothin, if it aint able to connect to the server, try another server via the download site (for example ircspy.com)
- Your on the right server now. Control+V to paste the text and push 'enter' on your keyboard
- Wait a couple of seconds and accept the file (if it does nothin, the server is busy and you have to wait a bit longer or it doesnt know the file, if it doesnt know the file its showed in the older window and the bigger window, than you'll have to start a new server again)
- If the server is putting you in a position (for example postition 5), you'll have to wait. Mostly is this very long. Sometimes you have to wait for over four hours. That's why it's mostly the right thing to try an other server if your being put in the que (if your being put in position 1 or 2, I suppose you can wait, but that's on you, it depends on the server how long it takes. Mostly the server says what the maximum waiting time is).

10. Mostly its a winrar file you'll recieve. Just extract the file to wich folder you want and you got it. Download winrar here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
