Could this work? - Xtra for joystick...tmyapp look.....

Tmyapp- I found an Xtra on the internet for Director and I havent tested it. but i though you might be interested in it. It is an Xtra that lets you use a joystick. I cant test it cause i cant change or add anything to the game. here is the link: Joystick Xtra

i know its in french, but when u click on the joystick link and download the file the READ ME has the web page in english.
TMYAPP- sorry if you already know about this or have tried it, just trying to help.

but looking at the site i see a "These Xtras are not "Shockwave Safe". They do not work from a Shockwave movie (.dcr file)" comment...from what i remember the game is a DCR file type for the webversion.

The final product is a DCR file. but whne u r making changes and editing a game the product is saved as a .dcr file which you can add xtras to the cast and whatnot. Xtras are shockwave safe, tmyapp probably has Xtras already in the game.

in either case, this would force everyone to download this non-standard xtra.. (something i would rather avoid)

also, no xtra's should be required for joystick support.. but, more on that later :biggrin:

So you have alittle something up your sleve for adding joysticks ey??? Well thats cool. but would downloading the xtra for joysticks really be that bad? I mean we have to download the multiuser xtra already. but its up to you, just though i would try and help out.
