A Question... - Any MOD Should Be Able to Answer...

Well I am just wondering, how big is the game now, before the big update. Now if it is say 2MBs, and you need to add 17 more characters, helpers, stages, music, and options, wouldn't the game over 25MBs?? If so wouldn't the game need some type of permanant download and then you play the game and conenct on-line and have a bunch of servers. It would be something like BZ2 or maybe Quake (I have never played Quake).

yes and no...

right now, we're @ 3.5 megs... with the 4 player mode, we'll be up to 4mb min...

cyclops will add another 300-500k... same goes for the rest of the characters...

yes.. if there are 17 chars in total (and probably WAY b4 that) we will have a version of the game you can download (i am considering doing that sometime next month... the version would be MUCH bigger.. over 10megs, but, would have much higher quailty graphics and sounds...)

in any case... when the time comes, there will also (probably) be an option which will let you stream the characters as you need them (ie: if you only need Ryu for now, thus, the rest of the chars can wait)

33.6k people are a problem however... it's not exactly "streaming" if you have to wait 20min :biggrin:

There is such a thing as 33.6K, holy, I thought the lowest was 56K.

The lowest connection I know of is 14.4 I think, I use to think it was 28.8 until I heard of that one.

TMyApp, after we have downloaded the thing, will it also affect lag? Will it make it higher or lower? and how?

And will be need some kind of specific file to open it?
