Can not register for the game

I try to register on the shockwave part and after i provide a SN, pass and email adress it goess to the authentication part and stays their until it will fail. I am not behind a fire wall, I am directly connected to my connection (IE: no router or anything).
I'd like to play.

A number of people have reported this problem.

As far as I can tell, it means two things. Either our authentication server is down (which is unlikely, and if true, you should be informed of this via the system message during the loading of the game) or your browser is not allowing the Macromedia Shockwave plugin to access the Internet.
