It's the president's job to establish a direction for the country, and to propose legislature to the congress, and pressure them to pass it. He didn't do that for the assault weapon's ban. He caved into NRA pressure.

In addition to that, you speak of how the Republicans do nothing but diss the Democrats. The only thing (and I do mean ONLY) I ever hear Kerry talk about are his stupid medals that mean nothing after he came back home and fought against the Vietnam War and how he thinks he's better than bush in this category or that category.

You ought to listen to him more. He criticizes bush a good deal, and has a plan for the economy that he put forth during the DNC. Watch MSNBC and you'll find out more about what he says. Especially watch MSNBC on Fridays at 7:00p.m. for the Hardball Horserace, which focuses on what each candidate is doing, what ads they put forth, etc.

Oh, and about the medals... I know a Vietnam veteran who has read up on the medals Kerry "won." I asked him about them, and he told me how the medals Kerry won are, for the majority, awarded through group efforts. That means Kerry isn't some hero. He's just some dude who happened to be in the right group of people.

He won medals for his courage in action, and the documentation supports that. He won 3 purple hearts because he was wounded 3 times.

I can GUARANTEE that if bush is re-elected, they'll be a draft. I should just be happy that I can't be drafted due to mental illness and medication being necessary.

Instead of attacking Kerry, why not explain why you back bush? Explain why you feel that bush deserves another 4 years.

well i havent been reading of what you guys said but i know what this thread is about so im just going to say what im going to say .

I think Kerry should be our president since ive been hearing that bush has made people lost more jobs than any other Presidents before him.
so kerry is better to which i think.

but about that beheading, what the hell is the US gov't trying to porve? they wont give into terrorism by letting thier own people get killed? so far, nearly 5 americans has been kidnapped and killed and what did the gov't do? "there're-deaths-has-not-been-in-vain". thats all bush is saying and what he gonna say when those next 2 are killed.

iraq needs to be left alone, havent they done enough in there? theres no WMDs, saddam is gone, iraq got the democracy they gave them, theres no agenda. what is taking bush so long? is he that dumb enough to keep this going? what am i saying, he is. this country is doomed if he gets another 4 years.
