This is a thread to discuss the politics of our time. Don't post here if you suck and are stupid on the topic. So .

I'll start the opening salvo off.

President bush is an absolute idiot. His own words and, "bushisms," prove this beyond a doubt, and at a minimum he has severe dyslexia. but, not only this, but he and his lackeys have made all the wrong desicision aside from going to war in Afghanistan.

Iraq? No right to enter Iraq. Won't admit he's wrong.
Economy? Not recovering well. Won't admit he's wrong.
National Guard service? Didn't do it right. Won't admit he's wrong.
Mean-spiritied nat'l re-election campaign? Check. Won't admit he's wrong.

There's plenty more too.

I have read a couple books about bush and his inadequacies, and I'll be happy to pass the titles along for people who want to read about what really's been happening in the last few years, and not what Shrub's been telling you all.

50 REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR buSH by Robert Sterling
The bush-Hater's Handbook: A Guide to the Most Appalling Presidency of the Past 100 Years by Jack Huberman.

The bush-Hater's handbook is the more analytical and argument-based of the two, and is quite good, but for those looking for an easier read with the facts put right up front, and little time spent on each of them, get 50 Reasons Not to Vote for bush.

Those should be available at Barnes & Noble.

well im not yet old enough to vote, but i can assure you that i wouldnt vote bush/cheaney if i was able to.
i have been paying close attention to the republican conventions that seem to have been on tv forever...FOREVER!
and i am not at all impressed by how they are going about with thier campaign. it would seem that thier plan is to get us to believe that since bush has had to deal with terrorism before that he's the best man for the job. to me thats like saying okay lets give him more chances to screw us > c. LMFAO i live in md/dc, and i dont feel safe walking outside on 9/11 just because that meathead bush thought it best to look for weapons of mass destruction that didnt exist. lol watch farenhiet 9/11 that movie was a real eye opener.

ps. i dont feel like correcting the errors up there^

this is the non-sfo related section.

back in 2000 during the elections, i still believe gore should of won. it was either him or bush, but look who stole the elections thx to jeb.

what else? right after 9/11, he quickly signed the patriot act, which took away most of the bill of rights, ordered the attack on afganistan, which was a good move. but targeting iraq is one of the most stupidest act he ever did. 9/11 mark a recession and plumet in the US economy and this man got the gual to spend billions on the war in iraq and tell all this bullpoop lies about:

1) Iraq was responsible for the 11 September attacks

2) Iraq and al-Qa'ida were working together

3) Iraq was seeking uranium from Africa for a "reconstituted" nuclear weapons programme

4) Iraq was trying to import aluminum tubes to develop nuclear weapons

5) Iraq still had vast stocks of chemical and biological weapons from the first Gulf War

6) Iraq retained up to 20 missiles which could carry chemical or biological warheads, with a range which would threaten British forces in Cyprus

7) Saddam Hussein had the wherewithal to develop smallpox

8) US and British claims were supported by the inspectors

9) Previous weapons inspections had failed

10) Iraq was obstructing the inspectors

11) Iraq could deploy its weapons of mass destruction in 45 minutes

12) The "dodgy dossier"

13) War would be easy

14) Umm Qasr

15) Basra rebellion

16) The "rescue" of Private Jessica Lynch

17) Troops would face chemical and biological weapons

18) Interrogation of scientists would yield the location of WMD

19) Iraq's oil money would go to Iraqis

20) WMD were found

and what is he doing about the economy? what is he doing about jobs? over 130,000,000,000 spent so far rather than on schools, health(especially aids), jobs, etc... but no, all on this war on iraq. they still aint find bin laden, shouldnt that be top priority? not invading and rebuilding another country for oil? and tell me its not for oil. after haliberten done take over everything there? the fields, the wells?

this war is a waste of time and money.

That "rescue was bull" they just throw that in to make people moan and support war.On the other hand i think its good sadam is out of power, you never know if he might have secrets to osama hide out etc. Anyways 9/11 could have happend to anyone who was preddent at time and bush took action but, i don't know about iraq bull.

You ought to investigate those books I listed. They have some damning evidence in there about bush and Cheney's actions before and during the presidency. The things that they did are horrible. Did you know bush is a sadist, and mocked a man about to be executed in Texas by going, "No, please don't kill me," in a very mocking fashion?

On top of all the bad things that he's done, he's a liar about it. He says in just about every speech that the economy's strong. NO. He says that the war in Iraq is worth it. Worth 1,000+ servicemen's deaths? NO. Oh, and did you know that if a democrat is voted into office, a terrible attack will be suffered by the USA? So says Cheney, and I swear on it. He said that during a speech a week or two ago. Watch MSNBC. They show it every so often.

There's nothing but dirty politics coming from the Republicans. They're nothing but a bunch of election-stealing, lying, stupid, arrogant, rich bastards.

http://www.johnkerry.com

Spread the word. Get bush out of office. It's the least we can do for this country.

Oh, and just recently, did you know that your neighborhood gang can now buy assault weapons? The ban on assault weapons has lifted, and now they are available for purchase. Why did the provisions expire? Because bush wouldn't pressure congress to pass it again. Now, our streets are less safe thanks to him.

Let somebody disagree with me about bush. I'll be happy to educate the person. I have the facts in my books to back me up.
