Amazing how smart...

It's amazing to see how smart some of the users of the game are. I was on the game today just fighting fights talking in the chat. I went into a 2 on 2 fight and my partner was a user named Dark-Invader. Now after the fight finishes I just made the remark of my slow comp compared to our opponents possible fast computers. Now Dark has the nerve to say that it's all skill in this game and that computer speed and connections have absoloutely nothing to do with the game. Now I've been here for a while so I tryed to educate him in the fields of SFO and what it takes to have a decent fight. First he says I have no skill

then he asks me how long i've been here for and tries to act like he's one of the biggest names in SFO. It doesn't really bother me about the fact that he said I have no skill because it's so typicla of a new user to say that. What bothers me is that he actualy said it's skill that matters. Now to eliminate posts and topic such as mine I would like a mod to post a explanatio nof lag and what decides the outcome of matches 60% of the time and what e fects matches the most.

One of you mods might say that this is a replica of other topics, so i norder to eliminate these topics plz make a thread that would explain the above stated problems. That would really make some of our new users of SFO to be smarter and act normal on the game.

Really, you don't need much skill in this game just because everyone always does the same moves over and over. but if you want to be a *great* fighter and show everyone a *great fight* then you must have some knowledge of lag.

One thing is predicting of where your oponent is on your screen. Sometimes it shows that your oponent is on the other side of the screen, then when you shoot a super he is right in back of you. Most times I predict that he will be in back of me just because of the feel that I am getting in the game, the feel of lag. So let say if I was using ryu I could shoot a shinkuu, but sometimes they end up right in back of you. Sometimes I would predict that is coming so I just go for the roundhouse instead of the shinkuu. LOL Trust me, I think this way all the time. And it works!! LOL Having some knowledge on the game lag is useful.

[color=# f0000]actually.. without skill you cannot go on in this game... a man doing hadokens all the time is as easy as saying 123 cause it doesn't take much to understand how to jump block thru his projectiles !

Basically, skills means to be able to react to certain situations witht he right thing, so ya gotta know every moves and how you can put them to work. even if there is lag in this game which is in all games. skills is still the most important part of the gameing factor !

you might say lag is 70% of the game, well you are wrong, lag is now only a mere 15% while skills is something like 80% and the rest is up to luck versus error ratio !

usually you try things and hope it works, sometimes it does other times it doesn't... that is the luck/error ratio i was talking about. the rest is up to your skill and how strategic you think and react to the di ferent events !

at least that's how i see it ![/color]

i find it hard to believe that a ####ie will find that site on his own. if i understand tidus correctly what i think he wants is a mod/admin to create a explanation topic and make it a sticky topic so it always stays at the top of the threads list.
