All Newbies To The Forum - Some Safty Tips

I'm not saying you have to do this, but I read about someone making a soft entrance, and thats what I tend to do, and it keeps any flaming/dissing down, and you can fit in right away

First, never type in all caps! No matter what you say or how many periods or comma's you miss just don't use caps!

Never Flame right off the bat

But really, the main point is this: Be sure to post just a little at first. Like, your not real known, and as I have seen from joining other boards, no one will really care what you think sometimes, sad but true So just mainly, reply to posts. Reply here and there, nothing big, nothing contriversal, just so people know your out there and posting responsibly. Don't really ask to many questions either, just add points or agree to some

After a while, work on making a new post, but not a question mind you! Like a statment, not really hi, but if you find out something interesting or a small question that hasn't allready been asked, go ahead! But dont' start to many new topics, and in the right forum!

Use the Search function at the top of the screen to see if a question has been answerd, if you have a question about the next character, try doing a search in New Features with the word "character" and look for a post started by TMyApp. Be creative you'll find what you need!

I have another thing to add, Warmor.

When you first join, please refrain from starting new threads right off the bat (what Warmor said). However, when you DO start a new thread, make sure of a few things: 1) It is not something like "I'm New, and I'll kick your ass!" or something stupid like that, because if you do that, you'll have everyone on the board verbally raping you. And then there's 2) If you're going to start a new thread, make sure there's no existing thread on the same topic. An example of this is the thread Pharao started, something about how the next character should be Iceman. What he should have known was that there were at least four other threads on that subject, and one of them was an Official Discussion. And at least, 3) don't go dissing other people right off the bat (unless you've got a good reason to, like making fun of OmniSlasher), because you'll have half the board beating you down in the chats.

I hope these two posts will help all nOObs in the future, and reduce future confrontations.

I disagree, really who is going to read a whole lotta of post just to find this one about the character situation??? They are obviously going to post it first. I remember my first post was about the Shin Shoryuken, I didn't search and no one bit my head off. I hadn't brought it up in ages and Profe&#36&#36or brought it up, I didn't rip his head off. Seriously, when someone new makes there first topic, they aren't going to search 10 pages to see if someone said it first. Just deal with it and give the helping hand they deserver.

my first post is usually my own thread but you just ruined it for me but i havent noticed any of that happenin when i do the opposite of what you said but maybe everywhere else i go theyve either been warned of me or arent as hostile
