howbout everytime a new member joins we pm them a welcome thingy then we tell them to advertise this to other friends to him/her? good bad idea? besides the more members that join most of them will wanna become vip right? then that would be helpin the community more =P i say its kind of a good bad idea.... someones gonna say thats its a bad idea.... if it works EVERYONES gonna have to help....
i want the sfo community to be a good one not a bad one... so please help if you dont think its a good idea.... just say so i get it a lot... Edited By azncat on July 30 2004 at 00:35 |

i guess is good and bad... some people advertize this game on their own lil private website.. some advertize it on marve| forums.. so hey there is some bad in it...
but if they can advertize it to their family friends and neighbors that would be awesome |

Well.. forget that. That won't help people settle into the forum, and I believe that is what is more important than getting them to yell out to the world, that there is an online fighting game named SFO.
Instead, why not just set up a forum specifically for introductions and welcoming new members, and old members who came back? The forum itself shouldn't count for posts, however, to disorientate people from just creating random amounts of topics to raise post count, etc. Then you could possibly ask them to advertise, though it would typically be a bad thing, for some *hopefully* obvious reasons.
