I don't mean to sound disrespectful or aragent, but why not Marvel vs. Capcom 2 instead X-men vs. Street Fighter?I mean it has more Capcom fighters, more Marvel, more tag team, why didn't you pick that instead?Am not trying to be a dick head just curious...

Probably because MvC2 runs on NAOMI, the Dreamcast arcade board. There's no emulation for the DC or the arcade yet, so the developers have no way of capturing frames of animation from it. All of the MvC2-specific characters wouldn't be included in the game, and thus it wouldn't really be MvC2.
Other than that, the backgrounds are all in 3D, which - as far as I know - would be impossible to replicate on Shockwave.
So that's why, I think...

Yes it does, but i still think it runs CPS2 also. but i'm not positive. Anyway, XMvsSF is a far better idea, since it was still in early stages of the vs. games. So this means (hopefully) that there will be less of a cheese factor in this version, then in the current cheese king MvC2.

No, it runs totally on NAOMI. The two boards couldn't co-exist in running a single game; they run on totally different program codes. And when NAOMI can do things like Powerstone 2 at 60 fps and no slowdown, I think it can handle MvC2 without any problems. ^_^

Or maybe its cause TMyApp chose X-men vs Street Fighter because its all-round simpler to convert.

That's a pondering thought...
