The X-Box is nothing but a piece of mechanical crap created by a monopolizing organization that has nothing on its mind except the domination of a new technology field with its massive monetary backings. Guess what, though? It is failing. X-Box's controller and system are huge and useless. I don't like any of the games; I could play Dead or Alive 2 for the Dremcast if I really wanted to play that series. None of the games (with exception to Halo, I still don't like the framerate on that game) are deserving to even be glanced at by my gaming expert eyes. The system actually slows down for no reason sometimes... and I talked with the poor souls who puchased it, and many of them had hard drive crashes the first day that it was purchased! Talk about a piece of shit.
I have no problems with the Playstation 2, I just don't like it because it is competing with the GameCube. It's controller is okay and it does have the largest game library around. My major flaw with this system: there are too many games, making the PS2 market flooded by cheap material. As for the GameCube, I have my 赨 right here. Give it to me now, #### it! It is small, but its graphics can blow you away. The controller is perfect, and feels like it was molded from the contours of your hands. And I also agree with Zing79 on this one: call the GameCube a 'kiddie' system again, and I will hunt you down. Third parties are not being intimidated by Nintendo's complicated registration procedures for those games. First party games are going to remain great (with exception to Luigi's Mansion); Wave Race: Blue Storm, Pikmin, and Super Smash Bros. Melee make me want to spend all my money for such high-quality entertainment. I got a Dreamcast for christmas, though... at least the games are very cheap now... But there you have it. For those of you too lazy to read the whole thing above, I hate (really, really hate) the X-Box, I am okay with the PS2, and I must have the GameCube.

Me? I kinda think that fanboys are stupid, but thankfully, this post hasn't exploded into an epic flame war yet...
I agree with Dan Hibiki that the Xbox isn't exactly what Microsoft was promising the gaming community. The PS2 is my system of choice, and the GameCube is okay, but there are only a few GCN games that I like (Pikmin, Smash Bros. Melee, and Rogue Leader). However, that's probably because the system just launched, and hopefully we'll see some good games hit the shelves for it. Hopefully, M$ will get the idea to get it's act together before it commits marketing suicide with the Xbox... |

i like the ps2 the best. i got it for christmas. to tell you the truth, i dont know how i lived without it.plus it was good that i got it b/c it made me be able to give my mom my psone for christmas.
i would buy the gamecube. it is reasonable and is a good system. the only games i am really looking foward to on gamecube is smash bros. melee and resident evil 4. my friend told me x-box is good, but i am not sure. i have never played it, but i wasn't too excited when i heard it was coming out. my mom said she would buy it for my b-day, but i have to do research to see if i want it. for me, the best right now is ps2. i would buy ps2 just formgs2 alone. but they have so many good games. |

I wish my parents would get me two gaming systems within a month (my birthday is Jan. 26, right on an exam day)...
Okay, here's you're unbiased research right here, j dog014. The X-Box does have the most powerful processors for recent video game systems (above 700 mhz), compared to the GameCube's 490 mhz and the PS2's 200-some mhz. The games don't show it, though... when it tries to use that potential it slows down like crazy, just like a computer with all its system resources being used! Look at Halo. It can't run that at the standard 60 frames per second. I have seen several games for the X-Box, and I can easily say that the PS2 and the GameCube can match the graphics shown for its games rather easily. Now for my opinion: you should ask for a GameCube instead. It costs less (赨 vs. 跌) and will have most of the third-party games that the other systems will have. In addition, Super Smash Bros. Melee will be on it, and isn't that reason enough? Well, there you have it. Hope that helps.

it helps a lot. thanks!!!!!! i was thinking of asking her for a gamecube because that is 100 x-tra dollars i will have for accesseries. i would buy the gamecube just for resident evil 4. smash bros. melee is a great bonus, though. but i still kind of want the x-box for oddworld, munch's oddysey. i think i might get a job so i can buy the gamecube. or i could ask my mom's boyfriend for the x-box. anyway, thanks for all your help dan habiki!!!!!!

Ps2 has a massive line-up of games, but the games are similar to the ones for the original Ps. Sony was promising gamers world wide that Ps2 was going to be *cough* revolutionary.
