This is like that time I saw a bunch of technicians try to push products on one innocent little man who just wanted a donut... (I saw this a while back, probably when I was 10 years old. Can't believe I still remember it though.)

If you have cable then speeds don't really matter they're all fast...

No...with cable if you download from a 56k user your still liable for slow download speeds, usually from the 56k user's speed which is about 5 - 8 kbps.
